Okay I don't want any judgment please.. My 5 month old just had a trach put in so he can breathe. We are working on getting him back to eating again. He got it put in on the 28th and I have been here for 9-10 days with him. Unless they're checking on him from his stats, or doing vitals (or any of the million other drs that come in) he's just in here with me and I am not getting good sleep as they are in here every few hours all night, plus I pump and sometimes I have to get him back to sleep. Any of you momma's ever had a lo with an oral adversion? Not a newborn or anything but a baby who has always ate great till something happend(surgery or anything)?

And I have to add, since he's been born I've had at the least 5 people who I know isn't religious at all tell me they will pray for him. I'm speechless that that many people love him so much that they're willing to pray to a God they don't believe in just hoping that if there is a chance be is there then he will listen and help Pax! And boy he has done way more than help him<3

I feel so emotional! As some of you know our beautiful 5 month old boy just got a tracheostomy last Monday. Our little man is turned 5 months yesterday! Can't believe how great he's doing after the tracheostomy and big he's growing! I hope with his breathing better he can start plumping up and be a chub!

Any of you mamas had to have in home nursing? How weird was it? Did you enjoy having them there after a while or is it a pain in the butt? We will soon have to have 24 hour nurse there for at least two weeks then they will wean down to just nights more than likely.

Well he ended up needing the trach.. But Pax isn't paralyzed anymore but they have to have him sedated enough to hold still till Monday when it'll be healed enough to change the tube. But he did open his eyes and wiggle a bit today. He's breathing a tab bit on his own as the medicine that stops his muscles wears off. We will have to have a 24 hour nurse here for as long as he has the trach (1-3 years ish) because he has to have eyes on him at ALL times. and he will have to constantly have an oxy...
