Getting a little tired of people thinking they know best for my baby. He doesn't have to learn to take a bottle. He isn't going to be fed rice. Hell he isn't even going to get purees. We're choosing to do Baby led weaning. We're not going to give him anything cause he's a certain age, were going to wait till his body tells us he's ready. Ik all these people are being nice and trying to help but he'll only 4 months. I'm not going to shove anything but BM down his throat. Even if it's all day, IDC, cause that means I get good sleep at night!
Not All people. I see a lot of people on and off this app like to shove their opinion and parent I advice down others throat.
Do what's best for you mama ! Everyone parents differently , and shouldn't be pressured to do things. Your baby your choice ! 🤗
@mamaprince thank you! Like I said he's situation is a little different with all his medical problems or I would probably do things a tad bit different but since that's how it is in doing the best for him, even if it's not the best for someone else
@bluepenguin yes! Like why go by age when not every baby is the same at every age? I will let him lick a few things every once in while but till he's 6 months at the least and can sit and his tongue thrust reflex is gone I'm not giving him food! Not that other parents who don't do all that are wrong but because this is my kid and we are choosing to do it that way. Also he's had a lot of medical problems so I'm extra cautious about things and doing them the "best way" even if it's not the best way for everyone!:)
I honestly think that's best, I did things here and there since I'm a first time mom, but really they'll tell you they are ready for solids and show interest, like I didn't really introduce it a lot until he was 7 months and he doesn't even get solids all the time either, he'll want food if we are eating together but otherwise that he's good with his formula. I mean he's getting older and wanting solids a bit more , he's even got lots of teeth now so that helps and he just likes to feed himself , he's been growing just fine and is a healthy weight, but yes that is a really good idea I wish I was more strict with the baby lead weening when he was younger but I didn't really know anything, so I went both ways. I experimented and learned what he liked and disliked and when he wasn't ready, like if he doesn't want to eat solids I don't force him either
Isn't it fun? Not. My MIL is watching my son and has been telling me he's allergic to my milk since he was a week old. She's been trying to get me to give him formula. He's allergic to cows milk. I cut it out of my diet and voila. All better. You do you mama.
