so Oakley has his 2 month vaccines today (😭😓) and I have a question for you all. My mom asked me this morning if i was going to be giving him a small dose of infant Tylenol before leaving for the doctor. I've been reading online and it seems like a lot of moms think it's a good idea to give them a small dose beforehand...but I wanted to get other opinions on the matter before giving him some before his appointment at 2.... Thoughts ? 🙁🤔
Yeah I'm scared for his week after next. I think every mommy so far says its worse for them. He didnt really cry about it in the hospital, hopefully hes good about it. Yeah right lol. I haven't really heard his in pain cry except for a few times in the hospital when he'd pee after his circumcision. What did pedi say about tylenol?
I cried 😭😭 seriously sobbed lol. He only cried for a couple minutes but it was one of those super "im in pain cries" where their face gets lobster red and they silent cry. So basically I did worse than he did hahaha
I get that ppl don't wanna load up their kids with meds unnecessarily but it's not like they're getting shots all the time so to me it's never been a big deal. Once every few months then every few years??
I have always given the kids a dose before. And they've never had any issues with the vaccines so Idk if it was the Tylenol or not but I'll do it with Taylor too I'm sure.
mine said to give a half hour before getting the shots. worked great
ask your pediatrician all babies respond differently my baby has hers this Friday so I'll ask beforehand
Our ped said to give tylenol afterwards if he was fussy or ran a fever. Josiah cried for like 2 minutes then slept for hours... I cried more than he did lol. Move his legs lots for him afterwards since they don't know to relax the muscle sometimes they can get a little sore but other than that he'll be fine 😊
@jacesterlingsmommy yeah please text that to me when you can! Just in case I do give him Tylenol before the appt. I'm calling his doc now
don't give it before and only after if they need it...my daughter only needed it later that night when she was fussy and running a low grade fever.
I didn't have to give Orion any. So maybe wait, the less meds they have in their body the better... Atleast that's how I look at it
We only use it when he gets super fussy after, or if he runs a fever.
I don't give Caleigha Motrin until she starts being fussy
Jace gets his shots thursday and they told me to give him some so I plan on it. Do you have a chart from the doctor saying how much to give based on weight? If not I can send it to you.
my doctor said to only use it when he was super fussy and nothing else would calm him down for the 78 hours after the shots
My doctor said not too . & not to until he started acting fussy . but I wish I would've gave it to him before .
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
When did you moms start giving your baby oatmeal? My baby is 2 months 1 week & I’m gonna start giving him a little oatmeal with his formula in the morning & at night!
so my boyfriend and I live with his parents with out almost 2 week old son... his parents and his mom always want to hold him like all day everyday and get mad when I take him upstairs in our room... I'm not breast feeding... my question is with me not breastfeeding and his mom constantly holding him will he know I'm his mom? that's my biggest fear... my son not knowing who I am and thinking she's his mom.
Things I never thought I'd say...
Until I became a mom:
Will your Mom be in the delivery room?
My mom made it sound like she was gonna be in the delivery room when I give birth, and quite frankly, I would just like it to be me and my fiancé. It's our first, and I want to share that special moment with just him. I don't want to hurt her feelings, and I know this is something she would really like to be a part of. So I feel bad telling her no.
They said to give it to him like as I was in the waiting room but we were running suuper late to the appt so i forgot it at home 😭 jace cried after his circumcision?!poor buddy 😁☠🕶
