Is it wrong to tell my husband's mother that she can't come anywhere near our son if she hasn't gotten the whooping cough vaccine by the time he is born?

as long as she had her dTap within the past 10 years she is covered and if not she needs that for the tetanus too

I'm having the same issue with my MIL. She is refusing to get the shot also. I flat out said if she won't get it she won't see my baby.

@newmommy23, stick to your guns.. whooping cough can kill infants younger then a year.. I'd try to make sure she knows the facts.. my MIL can't get the vaccines due to heath conditions so we agreed that she would scrub with hospital grade soap and not get in the babies face. and she won't see the baby if she has a cough

@aphrodite2014, @niyapooh We have asked this of everyone who wants to constantly be around him and they all agreeed to get it. She is the only one who is giving us a hard time about it
