I think some of these comments come across as blunt or can be perceived as rude because they’re not sugar coated. They’re factual and giving you necessary information to make the safest decision for your daughter. You’ve posted multiple unsafe car photos on this app in the past such as your son sitting in the front before he was 12 and your middle child forward facing at 1yo. So no, I didn’t feel the need to wrap my comment up in a bow of kindness. People are concerned when they see kids in unsafe car seat conditions because we care. Your kids are beautiful and I would hate for something to happen to them, but it’s up to you to start making better decisions about car seat safety.

I understand that you might be feeling attacked, but sometimes advice doesn't come gift wrapped with a pretty little bow on top. I've learned to evaluate my actions and accept advice that criticized me if it was actually good advice and had merit.
The advice, though seen as ugly and venomous, has merit and is good advice. Try to look at the actual advice and ignore everything else. Sometimes it be like "that b*itch has a point 😑😒"

Yikes mama. Drop your ego for a sec and take some advice. We gotta do all we can to protect our babies. You may be confident in your driving, but what about everyone else's? Just take it from someone who lost a loved one in a car accident. Proper seat belt use might've changed the outcome....
Re-do your research and do all you can to keep that baby safe.

@anicole3285 I came here respectfully. This is just a topic that people don't seem to take well, especially when you can't tell the tone. There will be comments that come off rude to some, and not rude to others. Safety is important mama. Maybe go back down to the toddler seat if you still have it, otherwise there are resources if you do need a seat and aren't able to get one. I can try to find some for you if needed, just shoot a message my way if so.
My 6.5 yr old isn’t even maxed out for his harness yet, to be using a seatbelt. Please please look into getting her back into a proper seat.
@love_linds My FIVE year old is only weighs 48 pounds and he was rear facing til WELL past 4. There's NO way what she's doing is safe!
!! @leonardsquared, my oldest rearfaced until 4. He is still very much in the perimeters for his harness though. I’m using that sucker for as long as we can. It’s honestly the safest bet!! I have no intentions of rushing away from it.
And my almost 3 yr old will be rear facing until at LEAST 4 as well! Car seat safety gets us all so heated bc it’s literally a life or death situation. And we, as parents, are our babies advocates & protection when they don’t know better. It truly hurts my heart when parents let their pride get in the way of constructive criticism & correction. Take the info, learn from it, and fix what you’re doing wrong. It’s not hard.

To keep her safe you should tighten the helmet straps before she rides and put her in a 5 point harness in the car.
I know. I just got it at a thrift shop. Kids and maternity, it's not fitted or even on right at the moment. She just couldn't wait to see how it looked on her

I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
