I too am an empath! Just discovered it recently too. I always knew I was able to pick up easily on emotions and I always knew that I was emotional (lol) but I never knew why and what it meant. I only hope I'm using that gift to the best of my abilities.

@witchymom, Thank you. I greatly appreciate it. Yes I believe he has been with him this whole journey and I know he just transitioned early to help guide me. But at the time it was very difficult.

It took me FOREVER to get a hold on being an Empath, and sometimes I have to take a step back and remind myself “is this really MY feelings, or someone else’s”. The worst... well funny NOW, was being attracted to a business associate! I was mortified because I was married, my husband and I both really respected this gentleman, and he had just gone through a nasty divorce to a woman who I saw as a mentor... THEN realized his new girlfriend was in the room!!! LOL That one ended up being fun because I freaked them both out! They hadn’t gone public with their relationship yet and their reaction was priceless!

Learn the Bubble Barrier technique, it will save you so much energy and emotions! Especially if you do it when you go out to parties, Walmart (OMG....) or any other event where there are a lot of people!

I got really tired of all the drama and crap FB had so I unfollowed 230 something of my 240 friends and started following Witchy pages, Environmental pages, Positive post pages, etc. I follow my mom and sister.... and a few other friends that are pretty positive, and that’s about it.

You can also find me on Pinterest “Lunella of Moon Sprites” Almost half my boards are dedicated to My Path. Each holiday, a Wicca DIY, Altars, learning to read cards, tea leaves, etc. It’s really become an irreplaceable tool!

@witchymom, Absolutely! I grew up Christian and was always in trouble when I questioned the Bible or teachings... Church felt empty, but I felt so alive and happy when we went camping or snuck down to the crick I grew up by!

After I lost my first child at 16, I really started to question God and “His Plan” which was what everyone kept telling me. “You lost your baby because it was HIS plan”... It didn’t sit right. So when I moved in with my mom and had more access to info and the internet I started researching and found my Path.

I am an Empath and a Healer, and I LOVE to teach. Created Moon Sprites (fb page) just about 4 years ago when I was pregnant with my daughter because I felt the calling to start teaching and guiding the next generation of like minded people.

I don’t believe in the All Mighty Devil, but I know demons exist as I’ve seen them in my house (and boy did that house get cleansed fast!!!). I also don’t believe in Hexes as Wiccans believe in the 3 fold rule “What you put out, you receive 3 fold”.

This all could have come through a private message, but like I said, I love to teach and I’m an open book about My Path and wanting to help people understand.

@sadiesue0718 this is fantastic and you are fantastic for sharing this!! I hope any on-lookers get to see this. It really is a fabulous celebration and way of life. Growing up Christian, I just kind of followed along and thought nothing of the meaning behind everything. But I personally feel that as I've grown and taken the time to learn about Wicca (as well as other pagan traditions), a lot of my questions have been answered. I feel at peace now.

I also made a few “Christmas Spiders” for me and a few family members.

It is said that they saw a woman decorating a tree, came down to admire her beautiful work but left their webs all over her tree making it grey... Santa came in to leave presents and saw what had happened, knowing their was no ill-will intended he MAGICALLY turned the spider’s grey webs into bright strings of silver. Again the tree was beautiful, and the family had a big surprise. I can’t recall where this story came from either, I want to say Germany, but I could be wrong.

You hide it in the branches, and whoever finds it on Christmas gets a special gift, and gets to open the first gift!

For those wondering, here are a few quick points on Yule, it’s History, and customs. You may recognize a few, that is because Jesus’s birthday was moved to coincide the Winter Solstice (Yule) to convert Pagans to Christianity.

Pagan is a blanket term that meant anyone other than a Christian. It says in the Bible “Thou shalt not suffer a witch to live”. That is what gives people their false sense of entitlement that God grants them permission to pass judgment, that their way is the ONLY way, and that THEIR God is the ONE true God. When in fact it also says in the Bible to “Love thy neighbor”, and basically God is the only one who can pass judgment at the Gates of St. Peter’s.

No disrespect to anyone either. These are all facts that I have learned over my 14 years of studying Wicca, Paganism, and a few other religions. Paganism pre-dates Christianity. Many (all) of their “Holidays” were taken over from one religion or another, most of them from Paganism. They are rooted in the Wheel of the Year.

@mommiesgoneabitmad i agree! God said for us to love one another. I am Christian and I have associated with folks that don't claim a religion. But believe in a higher power.

That's why I normally keep my beliefs to myself due to the fact I don't celebrate holidays at all and people are so judgmental I just stay to myself....

@mckenziesmummy Yes! We have a tree (although we were a little lazy getting it up this year lol) and Yule logs and poinsettias and lots of typical holiday decor. But we also have up pentagrams (the non satanic kind) and crystals and other earthy elements to welcome winter.

I like magic . I dig this way of celebrating 😊🤔 I totally don't see why people would actually say rude things to you about it 🙄

@mckenziesmummy the quickest and simplest way I can think to describe it is Christmas without God, Jesus and religion but instead, with "magic" and natural elements and worshipping the earth. It's basically the celebration and welcoming of winter.
