I had to pump 4 times yesterday just to get 8oz of milk. I know that's COMPLETELY normal, I mean that's the average…

that doesn't mean your supply is dropping. the amount you pump can decrease over time but it has nothing to do with your production.

@verobaby, I'm pretty sure it's dropping. not enough that it effect me nursing, but I just don't get 30oz a day anymore. but I work for about 8 hours straight, I usually only pump once, but sometimes not at all until I get home to nurse. so I'm going 8 hours at least 2 days a week with full breasts. but the only reason I think it's dropping is because of the days that I'm not nursing or pumping like I should be due to work.

That's my fear when I go back to work. I won't be able to pump there or not as much as I'm going to want to.

@jaaym_, I'm a server, my manager is AWESOME about letting me pump whenever I want and as often as I want. but if I stop to pump twice, that's 40 minutes off the floor, 40 minutes off the floor means I miss tables, not to mention the tables I missing because I have to stop accepting new tables as I prepare to go on break, so in the end I miss out on $100 because I took two breaks, when I can go my whole shift without pumping and still be comfortable, but it's obviously effecting my supply. I still have 500oz frozen in the freezer though just incase.

I'm a server too I wasn't going to go back I'm so tired of being a server but my job is so flexible and I've been there for 2 1/2 years so they won't fight me for just wanting a few days because I don't want to miss out watching my daughter either but we don't take breaks there unless it's a 6hr plus shift so if it's 4-5 1/2 we won't but when I pump it's about 20 minutes but still don't really have a place where to pump with my electric one. I can go 4-5 hours without pumping and still be pretty comfortable as well

@jaaym_, I didn't want to be a server, but the place I work is AMAZING. me and my sister work together now and everyone I work with is awesome. I actually feel like I work with adults instead of a bunch of immature kids. and I always make at least $150 even on slow days. like this morning I'm working brunch from 10-5, and I'll make around $500. so I literally only get scheduled lunches 2 days a week during the week and I pick up dinner and weekend shifts if I feel like it.

have you looked into getting an adapter so you can pump in your car? like one of those power cords for the pump that plug into your cars AC plug?
