**no bashing please**

my baby likes to sleep on my chest instead of in a bed- tho I try to get her sleep in her bed at least in between 2 feeds in the night. I think she prefers sleeping on her belly. I know they say to only let them sleep on their backs but if anyone has let their lo sleep on their bellies when did you start allowing it? not saying I'm going to but if it gets her to sleep in her own bed so I can get a little better sleep then I'm considering it.. but only after she can at least hold up her own head or even after she can roll over. thoughts? again no bashing please!

My baby never slept on her back and even when she was able to roll if we laid her on her back she ended up on her belly

my son slept on his belly in the nicu (they actually put him that way) then as soon as he could roll over he slept that way at home, I watched him closely on the monitor and he would always turn his head to the side

you can buy a special airflow mattress so they can sleep on their belly

Make sure her mattress is firm & that the sheet is not loose. I would be scared too, but sometimes you gotta do what you gotta do!

If you are going to I strongly suggest getting one of those heartbeat monitors. Since switching to the "back is best" mentality the cases of SIDS has plummeted. Just a suggestion :)

If your comfortable go for it. Your the mama. My daughter slept on her belly for a few weeks, now she sleeps on her side in bed with me.

right I remember when one of my siblings was born that's how it was and my husband has a child my age and he says it wasn't that way when we were born so I didn't think it would be much of a problem I just don't want her suffocating ;-; but she does a good job at laying her head on her arms at least when she's sleeping on me @jaixi

And screw whoever has a problem with it because seriously in about five years or so, it will be place them on their stomachs not back just when i was a baby. It always changes . And you should always keep an eye on your child when they sleep.

My baby sleeps on her belly. She won't stay asleep long otherwise. She started around 1months . She's been picking her head up and trying to push her self up since her second week home . She's about to turn her head when she ready . But I do keep a close eye on her . I wake up frequently to check on her.

@peanuts1mom, usually when they're able to roll over on their own

Dad's FB Video!! Did anyone see that video a dad posted on his daughters FB page? He saw a post she made where she bashed her parents and cursed them, called them lazy and told them they should pay her for stuff she did around the house... So he called her out on it and put the video on her page!! Sorry if I missed a post already about this already, but I just saw the video and IT WAS AWESOME!!! Hahahhaa!
