For me, I didn't give my little guy a pacifier so pretty much everytime he fussed I have him the boob whether he was hungry or not. I cried each time he latched on for 2 or 3 days but then the pain was gone. I have never felt as strong of a woman as I have going through this process. It's amazing.

I think it's worth it. I struggled at first because my baby wouldn't latch, and when I finally got her to, it hurt for a week or so. However, the bonding as neat, the hospital I gave birth at had support and a lactation consultant, and although it was more work in the beginning, I think breastfeeding ends up being easier after those first few weeks. My advice would be try it for at least a month or two and if it's not working out, switch. You can always stop breastfeeding, but you can't start breastfeeding if you do formula first and that doesn't work out. Plus, breastfeeding is free - so that's a nice perk.

it's really not hard at all. use your resources and support system. it's easier than waking up 4 times a night to make a bottle heat up a bottle. wash bottles. it's a pain. formula fed babies tend to have more tummy issues as well

I'm just going crazy thinking if it's a good idea because I heard it hurts by pretty much everyone I ever asked and it scares me @madelynnb
