Yesterday morning I woke up with breast pain, assuming it was a clogged duct...then the fever and nausea came... I ended up going to the hospital because it was so bad and it was Mastitis and not a clogged duct. Taking antibiotics and still breastfeeding thru the pain. Uggggh I wish it would stop hurting already

Has anyone ever had a clogged milk duct, how does it feel?
I have an extremely bad clogged milk duct. Went to emergency and they said there was nothing they could do!! I’m over her crying in pain! Does anyone know what I can do to relieve the pain??
Mastitis I've been hospitalized. Came in yesterday evening around 5pm, I had a heart rate of 157 and a very high fever! I had horrible symptoms since Thursday. Initially I thought I just had a clogged duct and a flu. I really didn't know the symptoms of Mastitis. I am on heavy antibiotics now and have to stay until Tuesday! So please don't be like me and be seen the first time you have a lump on your breast and flu like symptoms. It's miserable. I honestly thought I was sick and had a clogged duct, silly me. I don't want anyone to experience this. It's absolutely the worst
How do you know if it’s mastitis or a clogged duct?? It goes away when he nurses but then the full feeling & can feel the full duct shortly after

Mastitis usually starts as a clogged duct. When the milk isn’t removed or clog isn’t cleared, it turns into mastitis. Hope you feel better soon.
