Mastitis
I've been hospitalized. Came in yesterday evening around 5pm, I had a heart rate of 157 and a very high fever! I had horrible symptoms since Thursday. Initially I thought I just had a clogged duct and a flu. I really didn't know the symptoms of Mastitis. I am on heavy antibiotics now and have to stay until Tuesday! So please don't be like me and be seen the first time you have a lump on your breast and flu like symptoms. It's miserable. I honestly thought I was sick and had a clogged duct, silly me. I don't want anyone to experience this. It's absolutely the worst
Thank you I was struggling, it's so hard to be away from baby when you've never been away for a more than a work day.
So he brought dd to see me for a few hours today. And agreed that he will bring her tomorrow. I get to stay another night here at my favorite place! Lol being poked and on 4 antibiotics/meds
Oh mama I'm sorry! I think it should be something moms get once and that's it, like we need to build an immunity to it LOL. How long did it take you to get into the doctor each time?
Totally agree. I'd never keep her away from him.
No its not. Once I get all in place I'll fill you in on the ENTIRE situation. Lifetime movie worthy. I'm sure I'll write about it after I've completed the process.
I've had to go through this alone too. My SO soon to be ex, won't bring my baby to see me. This is the longest I've been without her.
Thank you! I am glad aswell. My nurse actually had a heart to heart and was completely honest with me. I was at the point the infection could have spread into my blood stream! That's why the doctors had my vitals checked hourly for the first 24 hours. (That point can be fatal) I'm soooo soooo glad that I didn't wait to come. I could have gone to sleep at home and never woke up! ???? they were very concerned about it going down that route. I am thankful of their due diligence. Pretty scary to find that out. I have to spend another night in the hospital too.
Everything is totally fine per doctor. They understood my worries, I trust my doctor. She's amazing and I've been in her hands for 7 years. And the pain is so bad idk what would help as much
I'll talk to my doctor when she gets in about the meds, I don't think the nurses call the shots on medication. Thank goodness I'll see my normal doctor today. And if i had just said I was 'sick' I guess if I added 'flu like symptoms ' or even saying I thought I had the flu would have helped.
Oh no. I saw your post in feeding. But I didn't see anything about a fever/flu! I would have said you need to see the doctor. A clogged duct is a precursor to mastitis. So if you can't relieve it at home it is important to get in so that it doesn't turn into an infection. Good luck! You will feel better pretty fast :)
The antibiotics should be fine. But the oxy I'm thinking they may say no. I would just lay off the oxy and try something like norcos or ibuprofen.
I'm taking oxy for pain and the antibiotics are very strong. ?
I am pumping. If my milk is safe, my SO will bring baby here for a little bit so I can nurse. She's at home with daddy
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?

Oh my goodness, I can't even imagine being away from baby that long! I feel like as a nursing mother baby should just be admitted along with you, that's so hard!
Did you have to completely stop breastfeeding too? You've had it so rough mama!
