Has anyone ever had a clogged milk duct, how does it feel?
lol I used heat and got down on all 4s and nursed him. fixed it right away (: @adamsmaaa
Feels like a car ran over Ur boobs. Use a wet warm towel and pump away
I always got them right under nipple omg it hurts so bad when the baby would suck & it was hard to massage them I would always pump & massage the side that hurt it helped a lot though to just put heat on it
I hope so it hurts! I can tell my bub is fussy too nursing on that side :/ @kainesmadre
you're welcome & mine usually lasted like a day or 2
@californiahaley, usually how long do they last if I keep nursing and massaging with heat?
I always would take my baby into the bath tub with me submerge my breast under water and massaged the area then had him nurse. And have a wet hot rag on the breast and massage the area with that while he nursed. The best thing to do is keep nursing and pumping frequently. Clogged ducts happen when the breast isn't being drained fully and milk builds up in the back and drys then you go to nurse or pump and the dry parts get pulled to the front but are too big to go threw the tubes and get stuck making more milk build up behind it causing painful pressure. You want to massage it to break up the dry milk that's stuck and have baby nurse or pump to keep pulling it out.
I used to fill a water bottle with hot water like to were I could stand it against my skin & put it in my bra where the duct was & leave it until it cooled then pump & massage or feed the baby & try to massage
That should say "One you can get out with heat and massages." 😊
I'm pretty sure I'm dealing with one that's infected. I'll be going to the doctor. normally I just felt like a lump that you can get out with you and massages. but this one is painful hot and I'm praying not infected.
I think I have one, it feels kinda like an implant under my skin lol any tips on how to get rid of it? @californiahaley
Yes. It'll feel kinda like a knot in your breast. Very painful
That's perf! That's what I usually do now
