These contractions confuse me so much they are timeable but not painful more so just annoying. At a loss about what to do because I really don’t want to go and get sent home again
@wolfe1134, And for how long have you been having them and timing.
They are about 5 min last about 1min each
@wolfe1134, Can’t hurt to give them a call to advise. What intervals are your contractions?
Maybe try doing a little walk of some stairs if you have them.
@beakymcspence, should I just wait to call them then? I’ve never made it to a 5 with out my water breaking so it’s very strange for me
@wolfe1134, If your a 5 and consistently timing it’s very likely your in early stages of active love.
What are your time intervals?
I personally had NO pain with my middle child (now 6) but consistent contractions and back labour. I actually literally just thought I had the runs till I began timing. It didn’t become painful till after my waters broke.
@beakymcspence, they are very much able to be timed but when I was last there I was 5cm
@wolfe1134, Yes! But consistently timed.
Generally early stages of back labour is consistently timed and dull ache vs pain ❤️
@beakymcspence, do you ever have anyone that’s in labor with out painful contractions?
@owenjacesmama3, Your doctor shouldn’t have a license if they told you if you can time your contractions your not in labour lol ANYONE would agree with that. If you’ve had two kids then you should be aware you must have consistently timed contractions to be in active labour 🙄 It’s how the body works. Sporadic contractions are called Braxton Hicks and do not equate to active labour.
PS Nurses have licenses.
I was in early labor twice. Im not here to argue w you. I really don't give a shit what you have to say. I told her what a LICENSED DOCTOR told me. Not a l&d nurse. Have a nice night.
@owenjacesmama3, Ok you clearly just wish to argue. Your information isn’t correct. I work on an L&D unit I’m fairly certain no doctor would ever tell someone if you can time your contractions it isn’t time and your not in labour.
Likely the reason no one cared about your contractions was because you were dilated past a certain point, and that’s not the case for everyone.
Obviously you know more then medical professionals lol
Neither hospital i went to even cared about timing them. I would never of been able to time them w my kids. Saying your supposed to time when is incorrect. "Supposed to" isnt a requirement.
@owenjacesmama3, All OBGYNs and L&D units insist on timing contractions....your information is not correct.
“If you can time them, it isn’t time” is absolutely not valid information I’m sorry.
I am an L&D nurse (RnBscn) and if the contractions can’t be timed that’s when it’s in fact “not time”. Your absolutely supposed to time your contractions and they even have apps now 😊
That’s my thing it’s not painful with my son I didn’t have painful contractions or anything until I needed to push
Thats ridiculous. How are you supposed to time them when your in pain? Lol
They tell me to time them if I tell them I’m not they won’t even see me @owenjacesmama3,
If you can time them, it isnt time. That's what i was told & sure enough when it was time i didnt even need to time them
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
