Why do some moms feel they have full authority over their kids when the dad is always fully active in the child’s life 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ ex: a mom can pack up her stuff and kids stuff and walk out for the day or some dayS BUT if a dad tried to do the same there is questioning and things to be discussed. Or the mom doesn’t seem to care because where she goes her kids go but a dad can’t do the same without an argument. 💔 breaks my heart and I think it’s just so unfair. If I wake up to my dude packing to leave with the baby for the day there will be no questions!! And I sure as hell wouldn’t tell him “NO” because I was planning on doing this with the baby.. I can plan for another day 🤷🏻♀️
Me and my husband are partners. We tell each other what we’re doing. It’s a respect thing. I don’t want him to worry and he’s the same.
Yep true my hubs ex wouldn't tell him nothing went on with his daughter and he's fully involved in her life never thought that was right. Now we have her.
You’re absolutely right !!! It should be equal . My hubby took our son to gamestop with him while I was asleep so I could get a break .. he said “I didn’t want to wake you up so I took him with me”
Like why do you have to wake me up just take him he’s your kid too take him wherever you want ... I wouldn’t get mad , and same thoughts as you idk why others get mad
@renata.shumelda we been together a very long time lol he knows its true! Hahaha give it time lol
For our situation, he tells me not to ask for permission but just so i know where they would be. We have this thing where we tell each other when we leave the house, when we get to the destination we planned to go and when we’re on the way home. Haha, but before baby we have always done that too. As far as packing, ive always done it for the both of us, now with baby. I still do it. It’s just how its always been.
@tyrellp, at least your admits it! I don’t think mine would lol
@renata.shumelda yeah mine needs me lol he always says i dont know what i would do with out you lol
@tyrellp, lol that sounds like my hubby 😂he just needs prompting
@alejandra1x, some guys more definitely are childish 😂 I wasn’t saying anything about the childish dads 🙈 more of the dad that care and want the same type of respect but some mom are just quick to say “my kids goes where I go blah blah blah “ like if the dad was as important a mom.
Also my husband never jumps to taking all three kids alone on a shopping run. I would ask him could you take the kids with you and he would say no and when I say but I do it his response is yeah but your the mom you are designed for that. He’s not used to it. He will take them to the park but he won’t run errands with them.
@xomarylee, our system is in the responsible mom that keeps things in order while dad is the fun guy you can have chaos with lol it’s a balance.
@sarahbethk, I just know my kid is safe with dad regardless like he knows the same of me and I don’t expect or give him a hard time.. or stay on his ass because I know he wouldn’t do it to me.
@tyrellp, omg mine too 😂😂 it’s like talking to a child. He’s blind with out his glasses and when I ask when’s the last place you had them... idk 🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️.
@xomarylee my bf on the other hand is a different story... I trusted him since the start with my 2yr old. Within the first couple weeks of being together he was picking my 2yr old up from my moms and bringing him home when I was working, taking him to parks and playgrounds, shopping. Never questioned it
@alejandra1x it drives me crazy! My husband can never remember to leave the house with his glasses and i constantly have to try remember to grab them on top of trying to get out the door with the kids.
@alejandra1x, I can’t think that way... if i use that as an excuse and make my self seem like my baby needs me more than dad I’ll feel horrible. I let dad do his thing even if I understand or spend more time with the baby.. i just rather know dad is a great dad like I am a mom.
@tyrellp, husband are the biggest kids that need more supervision 😂😂😂 why leave a smaller child with them if they can’t even find items in their own home without asking us lmao.
@ladyblauvelt, now that changes things. When they could care less then of course you have to be on their ass. Glad you grabbed the lead because with a person like that I would think different 😂 But moms that’s don’t have issues like those I feel like they have to spread they wings a bit and let dad be as much of a dad as mom is.
Because I know what I’m doing and I’ve spent more times with the kids to know all their behaviors and what to expect. He does not, I’m that person that if you want something done right do it yourself.
@xomarylee the thing with my 2yr olds father... He didn't want the responsibility of being a father, it was solely me caring for him since he was born and the only time he wanted to take him anywhere was when he wanted to look good... He was a manipulative, abusive jerk
Im the boss! and everything has to be approved by me and i have to know everything lol 😂 my husband can be a dumb dumb and hes forgetful hes left the house with out diapers in the bag and has left the diaper bag in places hes gone to. If i don't stay on top of him about things and question what hes doing i worry 😟
@ladyblauvelt, I now it can be scary because I went through the feeling when my first was 3 months. But I decided I couldn’t make that an excuse and let him step up for her. Yes she cried the nights and he didn’t understand somethings but I think if moms keep telling dads “bring the baby to me “ then dad won’t learn.
@nerdymommyplus2, I agree 😌 it’s nice to have communication.
I never really question my boyfriend taking my kids for a while but I usually prefer to go places together as a family... I never really let my 2yr old son's father take him anywhere when we were together because although he was there every day, he still had no idea how to handle him or properly take care of him so I never let him take my son anywhere alone for long. Now that he has weekend visitation and my son is older than he was it doesn't bother me anymore but when the visitation first started I had anxiety constantly
I think it's just a respect thing honestly. Like I don't have to tell my husband where me and the kids are going and he doesn't have to tell me but it's respectful to tell each other. It works both ways though 🤷
@milnera2014, definitely agree it would be nice to hear it but I’m just saying for me there’s nothing wrong because he doesn’t expect it from me so I don’t expect it from him.
@unicorn_mama, I know that’s how a lot of moms think but I don’t understand why it’s a big deal. If the dad is equally active then I don’t think there should be a problem.. if dads thought there was a problem with a mom going out without speaking about it people would think he is crazy but then a mom isn’t crazy? 😒
I believe that they should say hey I am going to the store or wherever they are going and tell u where they are going at least
Alot of women believed just cause the carries and gave birth give them more authority
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
What is an absolute NECESSITY to pack in to your hospital bag for baby-mom-dad ???? I know some stuff is given at the hospital but what is something you were glad you packed or wish you had packed... packing mine this week since im do to have my baby sooner than expected..
Planning on another baby...?
So for my first time moms when do you plan on having your second child?
When do you moms start popping your kids hands for touching cords? Or stuff they know not to touch?
Question ladies I started giving my son solid food at 4 1/2 months old. And I only gave him 2oz of oatmeal and half a container of veggies once a day he gets it before bed I'm currently still doing the same feeding with it but I know when they get older you can do veggies like 2-3 times a day. How much do you guys do a day?
You’re absolutely right !!! It should be equal . My hubby took our son to gamestop with him while I was asleep so I could get a break .. he said “I didn’t want to wake you up so I took him with me”
