Car seat question
So I'm a ftm and I was wondering if there is something wrong with getting a used car seat? Would it be ok if it's not expired or should I just buy a new one?
Buy new, don't risk it. You can get some really affordable seats at walmart and other places.

Whether it's been in a wreck are crucial. I'd just make sure to do my research on the car seat and the car it's been in before buying it.

Car seats are made for "one hit." That means even if it's been in a MINOR accident it is no longer considered safe.
I'm not even going to reuse my SS's carseat with my DD. I know it hasn't been in a major accident but I'm paranoid...
I don't trust people to maintain them correctly so I wouldn't use a used one, personally. You never know how it was handled or cleaned.

Well it's someone my cousin knows but I don't personally know her. I just wasn't sure what to ask about or if there was anything unsafe about it.
Always amazed At the amount of seats that come into seat checks totally wrong. I did roughly 30 checks today and only 4 were right! Lots of babies are now safer in the car!

So I got rid of my spacious Chevy Impala and now have a compact Hyundai Elantra. I’m trying to figure out which car seat would fit best in a smaller car.?? The car seat will go behind the passenger so there will be a little more room to move the front seat up.
I got a car seat from a friend and a stroller online the carseat fits in the stroller but the shade won't close :( get a smaller car seat or keep it ?
I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.
