So I got rid of my spacious Chevy Impala and now have a compact Hyundai Elantra. I’m trying to figure out which car seat would fit best in a smaller car.?? The car seat will go behind the passenger so there will be a little more room to move the front seat up.

I am so incredibly grateful for my best friend. Last night she and I were in a car accident. I was driving and we got hit by a student driver. My car is totaled, I had to come out of pocket for a rental car. Both of my kids car seats were in the car and I’ve been stressing on how to buy new seats for them, she just told me that her and her husband bought us new car seats. I can’t stop crying.

@taylorsmommy That is the Graco Extend2Fit. It will fit behind the pax seat for a short to average pax for all 6 settings. Behind the driver seat even for a tall driver forward facing on setting 6. It will NOT fit behind tall driver at all rear facing from what I can see. But with sister behind driver and baby on PAX side you should be okay.

@taylorsmommy yeah, it looked nice to me when I still just had a car and wasn't sure how to fit three cars eats. Thankfully I found a third row before I had Journie so carseat size didn't matter.

we down sized to something smaller to save gas now I’m looking into an suv cause there’s no way anyone can ride in the car with us once I put in the second car seat my car is just too small. Before we downsized I didn’t know I was pregnant or I defiantly would have gotten an suv aha

The slim fit is honestly not that much smaller and I can't remember why, but I decided against it two times over.

This is with Baby behind the pax seat with it forward a bit for a proper fit. And the driver seat all the way back for big girl to sit behind driver. Baby seat will never work behind driver seat if it is all the way back for dad. But if you are driving and are short or average it can fit. Baby will need to be behind pax seat until forward facing. 1 more pic to come.
