I got a car seat from a friend and a stroller online the carseat fits in the stroller but the shade won't close :( get a smaller car seat or keep it ?

@verguinia, that is good to know. Do you uber? They have boosters that fold up and you can fit in your purse!

Hm. Weird. Kmart? Burlington? They should have similar seats. Also, I don't know if you're aware but your 8 year old should be in a booster seat until closer to 10-12 as well. Boosters are like $15.
If not, Walmart has the same car seat for the same price with different colors. They don't offer the trade in though. If you need any advice, my inbox is always open! I would be more than happy to help. 🙂
Good! The seat may be even cheaper, like $45 after the 25% discount from target! You'd have to check with your store if they're still doing the trade in event. You can ask anyone from customer service.
@caylee.henk I'm hoi g to ask my boyfriend to go with me and get a new car seat $60 is nothing compared to a child's safety and life !!! I'm grateful for the friend who gave it to me but I don't think she even knew what I know now and I'm grateful I found out before it's too late !!!

This is the cheapest target has on their website. If the car seat was in a wreck, the cover was washed wrong, the car seat was checked on a plane of the straps were washed, the seat is expired, then the car seat will not perform how it's intended to, It's the difference between life and death! You can google the risks of a used Car seat.
@verguinia, I would take the car seat to target and trade it in for a 25% off coupon on a new car seat! You can find them very cheap!
Is the car seat new? Please don't get a used one! You never know if it was properly taken care of.

Yeah... my guys were born at 28 weeks! So everything was double and triple checked before we could leave the NICU. They even needed to pass a carseat test, where they had to sit in the seat, strapped in and continue to breathe properly for 3 hours. They discharged them both on the same day 4 weeks before their due date. Very stressful time in our life.
@my3sons329 you had twins and they where giving you a hard time about the seats omg!
Also, car seats do expire.. I never knew this until my boys were in the NICU. We had to have brand new seats. The expiration date will be on the sticker on the bottom with the model name and number, hope this helps, just for safety 😊
@verguinia, I think target is doing something where you bring in a car seat for them to recycle and they give you an awesome discount. I’d be really leery of used car seats bc you don’t know the integrity of them
@phoebesmommy it's secure I moved it around a bit to double check but I'm going to ask around see if have a y friends throwing out car seats just to see if I can find a better fit because I don't really like that carseat it had no soft stuff in the bottom had to buy it separate and now it do t fit it's always something with it
And as long as you know your friend well and the car seat hasn’t been in any collisions
