Ok...my OB mentioned I should get a therapist because before my pregnancy I was in deep depression working with it with a therapist I let go, and my OB thinks it's best if I go back. I don't know why but she wants me to do it. I talked to my SO and he is skeptical. He claims I can talk to him about anything/everything. But honestly I can't. There's times i feel like I'm being shamed for my problems. I also feel like he thinks my problems and stress is childish. He complains I sometimes sleep all day but I always have problems falling asleep. When it's time for bed and I close my eyes I have these preview nightmares and terrible images/scenarios that will make me cry within seconds and not even crying myself to sleep works. I stay up all night til like 4 a.m hoping my brain will stop and let me relax but it doesn't. I'm staring in pitch black nothingness until it's time for SO to wake up to start his morning for work which is 4:30a.m and I'm trying to pretend to sleep so he won't bother me in hopes I can sleep. But I still can't sleep until it's like 7 a.m. At that point I can finally sleep without dreaming or seeing any scenarios. I tried telling him that problem of mine but thinks it's bullshit. Another problem I have is my stress with the place we live in and he tells me to get over it and stuff. But when he's frustrated with work listening to his problems is a must otherwise he'll throw a hissy-fit saying I don't listen or care about his problems. I mean...he does mean well and does care about me alot but there's alot of times he is self-centered.

go back. trust. after you give birth you will be hit by a buttload of hormones and get into a bigger depression. Happened to me.

As a mom to be who struggled with depression and anorexia i would recommend going to go back to a therapist , I know how hard it is to keep everything inside but right now your depression can effect the state of your baby and after you deliver you might struggle with post Parton depression

i used to see a therapist also and it seemed to help. i don't anymore but my depression isn't as bad add it used to be. my hubby doesnt understand my anxiety depression stress or the fact that i cant sleep at night usually.. if you need to talk im here. its ultimately your decision on seeing a therapist but don't let your bf talk you out of it if your wanting to see one.❤

Why is it so hard for men to be considerate and comforting towards women?

I haven't really been treated for my depression and I can say being pregnant hasn't helped. I can even see things getting worse before it gets better. I can't even talk to my OB and I don't think a SO will be able to listen to everything you may want to say or deal with. If you already know someone who can help, I would say go for it. I don't get to talk much but I have started physical therapy and am coping much better. <3 Also, having this place is a blessing.
