Hey Mommas! I need some help! My almost two year old is always hitting his dad's gf. He loves her but tends to get an attitude & ends up smacking her. Like today, she corrected him for saying "dammit" & my little man hit her. All rules are at the same at Mommy's & Daddys house so he's getting away with nothing. Any advice as to why he's hitting her & how to stop it? I'd really appreciate all the help I can get!

Personally, I'm not okay with her disciplining him until all three of us sit down & lay out ground rules. His dad is the pretty much same way, but letting her discipline him more might be the answer. I'm just not comfortable with someone I barely know correcting my child. His relationship is fairly new yet & I still need to sit down with her and talk. Bub is my first child so I'm extremely picky about him and discipline and such.

I think that until he learns that it's not OK and stops, there is nothing wrong with daddy's girlfriend disciplining him. If he feels she has no authority he will continue to act out against her. Then when he stops hitting her, she can dial it back and let daddy do most of the disciplining again. But they should be 50/50 when he is with them.

That's what I'm thinking! He's only at his dad's on the weekend & his dad keeps up with correcting him and reminding him & Bub does great with her, but only when he wants to. I think he's still getting used to the fact that Mommy and Daddy aren't together anymore & so his pushing boundaries to see what he can get away with. He does the same hitting thing here with me but it's not as frequent as it is with his Daddy. & We talk about it every weekend and try to figure things out but we're running out of ideas.

I feel like he knows she can't do anything to him so he's just acting out. It might just be a phase , make sure he knows that's not okay . I know he's still young so it'll be hard but try to remind him daily that it's not okay .

Oh & we usually redirect him after the correction but he still feels the need to hit her & we can't figure out why.

He was cooking. & We try to correct him on the spot. She's not allowed to do anymore disciplining other than correcting what he says.

I would just redirect him but personally she shouldn't be disciplining him. I think dad should do it from now on.

Got to the hospital at 12:30 AM and had baby Coraline Elizabeth after just two hours. A completely natural birth! She weighs 5.7 lbs and is currently in NICU getting some help with her breathing. She's so beautiful I can't believe I helped create her. Waiting on the Red Cross to get in contact with her Daddy to let him know, he's going to be so surprised! 👶👑 Thank you to all the Mama's that told me to get my butt to the hospital ❤

I can't take it anymore! Haley (yes my 1mth old and no I wasn't able to go through this "joy" of nursing my older daughter, Molly) has been screaming non stop for 6hrs! All she wants to do is eat and I can't have her attached to me all day, everyday! She has wanted to eat every hr on the hr for the past 3hrs! I put her in her room so I don't scream at her but I just can't take it!

lillyb Good job giving ur self a break we all need them. See if maybe she will nurse
delete____ I have to commend you for stepping away, momma!! Everyone reacts to a child screaming differently and
imisssleep123456789 Ugh I remember those days. With both kids I decided to always top them off with formula.
