I have my 1 hour glucose test coming up, what are some helpful tricks you ladies can give me so I can pass lol
they told me if you watch what you eat for 24 hours before you take it, even 48 hours before, like eat high protein low carb stuff. no bread a day or so before the test, and stay hydrated, that's the reason I failed mine I was sick and dehydrated so I had to take the three hour one.
just follow the directions on the bottle there is no tricks getting around it either have it or you don't.
Follow all these other ladies' advice about eating food is my advice!! Someone had told me halfway through eating that you're supposed to go in fasting (because they used to do it that way) but my doctor hadn't mentioned anything about food so I decided to stop after those few bites I got just in case. I ended up throwing up the drink halfway through and almost had to redo the test 😂
my appointments are always in the morning, so the dr told me to just have a light breakfast, like a peice of toast and an egg. just so I have actual food in my tummy without overdoing it
my doctor told me it doesnt matter what you eat or drink beforehand so just go about your normal routine but definitely make sure you eat before you go so you dont feel so sick after drinking it. itll make your baby go wild and youll feel like you have a sugar rush x10 lol
I heard some people say like toast Bacon like a good breakfast just not a sweet one @mylittlemonkey13 good luck tho
What can I eat? I have school on Monday and the test is at 3 😭😭 @bribritany94
honestly coming from a lab tech, if you have GD nothing you do will help you to pass. if you don't have GD, then you'll have no problems passing. just don't eat anything with sugar or carbs that morning (no breads, no sweets). try to eat eggs for breakfast
