My grandma and aunt told me I had to take all my piercings off when I go into labor but I be never heard of that before . @_akgirl

I never took mine out. I know if you have a c section they make you take out any facial piercings due to choking hazard

bc u can't have any jewelry on just in case u have to have a c section or syrgey bc jewelry or any kind carries germs

If it's an emergency c section that's makes so much sense but don't understand why if you go into natural labor. @autumnsmomma125 @andiryan93 I'm just getting all types of horror stories from a lot of people . And they don't help what's so ever lol but scare the shut out of me so I rather as you ladies

I have 11 piercings and my dr already told me I needa take mine out 4 holes in right ear 5 holes in left ear nose and I have my tongue

Tbh idk why but I really don't wanna take them out I only might take out my tongue ring but when I go for ultrasound and bp check on the 28th I will be sure to ask @morale0129

@autumnsmomma125, the c section reason kinda makes sense plus the aunts who have told me had c sections and that their piercings taken off

for c sections. and even if you go into labor naturally and all it can end up with a emergency c section. and they make you take all metal off not just piercings in there . they even took my bobby pins out in the or before they started my c section. I was told main reason was like if you need to be revived with the shock things it can hurt you cause the shocks will go to the metal on you. idk😏 weird I guess. but I never had a problem taking it out. they brought them back to me right after surgery.

I think it's in case of an emergency c-section cause it's a surgery and they usually don't allow jewelry for surgeries

yeah lol. and like if they have to put air tube in tongue ring will get in the way. etc. they try to take precautions for any thing that may happen. 😊 which I would have never really thought about until I had my c sections lol @morale0129

@sandycheeks, I have braces and went through my c section just fine. They told me that they weren't worried about them because they are affixed to my teeth. They are mainly worried about choking during surgery.

yeah they couldn't remove braces if they want too,😂 Idk. my doctors and nurses have told me 10 different reasons why they don't let ppl keep metal in. lol @ready4mommydaughtermoments @savvysmom
