Opinions on big sibling gifts/any ideas? My son is almost 6 and while he has a little sister with his dad, he lives with me 5/6 days a week for the most part (he hasn't seen his dad in two weeks, but normally he gets him a day or two a weekend) and doesn't share my attention AT ALL, lol. I'm the center of his world, and I want to do something special for him before this big change.

That's a great idea. My son (who is currently an only child) will be turning 8 a few months after his baby sister is born. I've been thinking about doing something special with him before baby gets here but not sure what to do! lol

The hospital I had my daughter at had a big kid class where they taught you to be a big brother or sister. We took my boys and they loved it. Afterwards we had a celebration dinner like a graduation and they got a present and diaper changing/ 1st aid kit. I got the idea for the kit off Pinterest

That's a cute idea! I never did check with my hospital about classes like that :( He starts school this year, too, so there's a bunch of big changes! @arachelle

@babyreeves, procrastinating much? lol hmm, maybe take him out to dinner, or go to an arcade. Or maybe take him to toys r us and let him pick out a new toy or something he really likes. If your not feeling like going anywhere you could even have a movie night with him, rent a movie and get some snacks and cuddle up on the couch. IDK just throwing some ideas out there..lol

@amandab, I know 😰 but I worked full time up until 37 weeks and then I was trying to get through my baby shower, and then I've been having 2 or more appointments a week lol. it's been hectic.

@babyreeves, I know what you mean. I'm 28 weeks and it's just been flying by plus I'm still working full-time and will be for another 8 or 9 weeks. it's hard to find the extra time to do anything
