im all for circumcision and if I had a son he would be circumcised but what I've seen on here one of the reasons some women don't like it cuz they think it's unnecessary and don't want to put their baby through pain someone once said they think it's abuse

Religious wise people think God made them right the way they are. But others say well God told Abraham he was unclean for not being circumcised.

Others think that it cleaner . Less places for bacteria to hide.

i didnt let them do it to my son well me n my husband he didnt want to because he say it just hurts the baby and supportly it not to get infection or anything. he say it still works the same rather they get it done or not. sorry if tmi n last we didnt get it done because of our religion belifes

@belles_mom428, okay, thank you, that explains it guess. I seen a lot would say they wanna let their sons make that decision when their older. I wasn't sure if there was medical reasons behind it or not.

I know some one who ended up having it done when they were around their mid to late 40's and they said they had it done because it had been Causing them alot of pain and discomfort...I'm circumcising my son but ultimately the decision is up to u! @soontobemomof4

I've seen a lot of women say it's torturing your child which I personally think is pretty extreme to say... My first was circumcised, my 2nd will be as well.

well I have all my boys circumcised and one reason for that is because my husband about 4 years ago had to get his done while he was a grown man because it was causing him so much pain and discomfort to each it's own but I've seen it first hand what not being circumcised can do to some one

I've heard of that happening, which is the reason why I also thought it was a no brainier when someone asked me my decision. @wifeymumof5

@mrssanderson, torture!? Wow! I saw where women were saying they wanna leave that decision up to the sons when they come of age! & that made my skin crawl! That's traumatic if you ask me!. But to each is their own. 😊

Religion. Pro Choice (the child deciding when older) , and it is medically shown to put the baby through immense distress. And a lot of things from what I've seen and read (I've researched this in depth due to wanting to know option and what not) seriously bad infections can come from the surgery afterwards if the mother doesn't clean properly down there. I've read where infections have gotten into bloodstream and killed the child as it wasn't caught. A lot will argue that it's beneficial on both sides. No circumcision means the child can choose, the risk for infections is less likely to get really bad due to the cuts necessary. Your child isn't put under that kind of distress which has shown to be of equal to a child breaking a bone. But a circumcised has shown to be more cleanly. And cause less problems down the road. As men who choose to circumcise later on in life are in more pain than of that a baby would be. And it has shown that men who choose to let it go can experience discomfort due to skin pull. Erections later can become painful for some due to it.

my son 6y is not, and if we will ever have boy again we will not circumcising him. There is no medical reasons to do it, it's either religious or cosmetic. All men in my and my hubby family are not, and no one ever have any problems bc of that (infections, pulling, discomfort, someone making fun of them etc.)

I'm think that is everyone private decision to make, and if someone decided to do it, it's your choice. either way you should make good research and talk with your doctor about pros and cons :)

im not getting it done for my son. i dont feel like it is needed and plus my husbands side of the family doesnt believe in doing the procedure.

also i dont want to put my baby boy in that pain although he wont remember it.

Glad you posted this, I've been curious as to why some people are against it too

My doc told me that the method that is most commonly used for circumcision doesn't cause the baby any pain when it is done. I'm a FTM so I don't know what that particular method is called but it doesn't use a sharp utensil of any kind or anything like that.
