That's a relief that your principal is ok with everything, makes it much easier if she's been through it too. I think it's amazing how many people have been through it-because no one really talks about infertility, you don't realise just how many people have also suffered.

Have been looking into what happens after the initial consultation and sometimes in the uk, you also have a treatment assessment (they do blood tests, u/s and sa again), a follow up appointment (to discuss the results) and then a treatment planning appt (to actually plan the treatment). So that sounds like much more waiting for me! At least these should happen quite quickly since we'll be paying for it all. Seems such a waste to do some of the tests again though. Will you have to have all these appt's as well?

I spoke to my principal about fertility treatment and she seems pretty ok with me coming in late. I heard from gossipy teachers that she may have gone through it herself.

That would be very exciting if we do ivf at the same time! I'm not sure how quickly I can get started after my first consultation. I'm thinking first consultation nov/dec and then get started on ivf jan/feb. Sounds like you may get started quicker than me though? ?

sorry about work yesterday. I know the feeling all too well.

I spoke to my drs office yesterday. they said my thyroid level is a little low for ttc so they put me on meds. they want to recheck it in 30 days. they also said my amy came back at .72 which gave me a score of 6. every office does the calculations differently so my ovarian reserve is coming up as fair which is better than it could be.

I tried to adjust the settings but no luck.

I had a pretty good weekend. I worked Friday night bartending and made over $350. Saturday night I went to a comedy club which was pretty fun.

That's brilliant that your insurance costs everything and that you can get started so quickly. You're so lucky, you could well have your bfp before the year is out. Wow! ?

luckily my insurance is wonderful. it covers up to 50000 bucks for fertility treatments.

it sounds like you are eager to begin but you have a very rational outlook on things. hopefully the professionals will help us out.

I know that it feels scary but its great that your doctor is keen to get started, to get you your dream. If you're doing ivf they an at least freeze any surplus eggs, so that you don't have to rush into having any more children, if you want more than 1.

I'm feeling ok about the ivf track, I just want to get going as I'm so fed up of all the waiting. I'm not looking forward to the emotional side of things but I don't think I'll start to worry about that until we start the treatment and it all becomes real. I try hard not to think about the outcome, as I'm scared to get my hopes up only to be absolutely devastate if it didn't work. Does your insurance cover you for your treatment? We will have to pay for ours an its going to cost about £4000 per ivf cycle! Eeek.

dh has another appointment with the urologist at the end of October to get results from another blood test and semen analysis to see if we can start in november. if his sperm is of poor quality we will have to wait. it scares me because my Dr is telling me he wants to get started soon because of my diminished reserve. I don't want to waste any more eggs. .. I don't have many to waste.

a short af sounds good to me, less time wasted. what does your dr say about it? how are you handling the ivf track emotionally?

I'm pleased that you've got some answers but I'm sorry to hear that the answer is that ivf is your only option. November is still quite quick to get started though. That means that there's a good chance you could be pg before the end of this year, which is the best news! Do you or dh need to have any more before you start the ivf?

I've got a doctors appt 5 October to be referred to the clinic to start our ivf. I contacted the clinic to see if I could be referred to them before have had my lap, dye and hysteroscopy and they said they recommend that I am as their earliest appt for the initial consultation is currently November. I'm hoping that we'll be able to start the treatment in January, but I'm not sure if they can get started after the initial consultation or if there's anything else they need to do first. I desperately hope there isn't. Hopefully I won't be too far behind you which is exciting!

My 1st clomid af was very odd...pretty heavy and only lasted 1 day! Round 2 of clomid starts today!

our results did not come back too positively. I have diminished ovarian reserve which stinks. dh has very poor sperm. we were told we definitely will not be able to conceive unless we do ivf. in a way it is good to know what we are in for but its sad. because dh has poor sperm quality we cant start ivf until at least November. ugh!

Well as expected, Clomid cycle 1 = BFFAIL!! Spotting started today. I hate this part of the month when I just wish that af would show up and be done with it.

Sounds like you'll have more answers before this week is out which is good. I wonder if they'll just ask him lots of questions on Thursday and then maybe have a feel around 'down there'. I can't think of much else they can do to him, except maybe take some bloods from him too? Maybe they can prescribe something that will help to boost his numbers? I've heard that men can take Clomid for that sometimes.

I asked if I could get an earlier appt and they said that the one that they've given me is the earliest. Am hoping and praying that the Clomid works and it isn't necessary. I thought the appt was just for a lap and dye but it's for a hysteroscopy also! The hysteroscopy sounds very similar to the hsg and a bit unnecessary. Have been told I should take a week off work after the op which sounds a bit excessive.

At least ivf is still an option for you, if dh has low count. Hopefully if they do find anything in your blood test results they can fix things nice and easy and it's so good that dh is being such a good sport. My dh does things that I ask him to but I do wish that he was a bit more thoughtful about everything. He didn't even think for one second that I might be feeling a bit rubbish about the baby shower yesterday. Good luck with your test tomorrow, I'm sure everything will be just fine. welcome back Sharon. I don't know the stats on dh semen analysis just that the Dr said its really low. hopefully a urologist can help us out. luckily dh is a great sport and jokes that whatever needs to be done, including surgery is fine with him but he doesn't want to wear boxers (hes a boxer brief guy). I have my day 3 test for ovarian reserve on Monday (Cd 4 for me). I'm still really nervous about that. I think id be devastated if he says I cant get my bfp because of that. every other test seems to leave room for hope. I guess we'll have to see.

Hey girlies I'm home!! I've just been catching up on your posts, from whilst I've been gone. Had a lovely holiday and we did lots of bd'ing even though we were staying with friends. So sad to be home and going back to work on Monday. Keep imagining that my bbs are hurting every now and then, it really is just my imagination though. I have no idea when I o'd but it must've been whilst we were away. Spotting is due to start at some time the coming week and af should be here by next Sunday at the latest. Got my appointment for my lap...it's at the end of November even though the consultant said it should by by the end of sept. I've got my pre-op on Monday so will mention it then. I think she's booked it late to make sure I've finished my Clomid by then. So fed up of more waiting.

What were dh's sa stats? Does it help you to feel better knowing that you may have just found the reason why you haven't got your bfp yet? I wish that I knew what mine and dh's issue(s) is as at least then I could probably accept why we haven't got our bfp yet. I still had pre af spotting after my hsg, but it's been much lighter since then. Both of my tubes were clear so it wasn't painful thankfully.

Brittney- I'm so jealous of you going on your vacation Sunday. Have you had any symptoms yet? My fingers (and not legs!!) are crossed that it's 3rd time lucky for you. You say your dh's motility was 9m, was that taking into account morphology too, or was it just the total motile sperm? Is your dh's morphology good?

I have one of my bff's baby showers tomorrow. I arranged it for her and am really looking forward to it but at the same time I'm also dreading it. Can't wait for it to be over.

so it turns out I'm deficient of vitamin d ...no biggie. but dh has extremely low sperm count. he has to see a urologist and my Dr said if it isn't improved an iui will not work and we'll have to go to ivf. I will be going in for day 3 test for ovarian reserve this weekend or early next week depending on when af starts. ive been spotting all day so i think she'll be here tomorrow. not fun. any good news on your front?

ive heard of women who've had an hsg and after that got pregnant right away. it seemed that flushing the tubes helped. maybe that's what you need...you never know.

i really hope all tests come back good. we dont need anymore bumps in the rd during this process.

yes I found the hsg uncomfortable. not the worst pain in my life but pretty rough. I'm still waiting to hear about dh results and I just had my thyroid levels checked. I'm going to email the Dr on Thursday to see what the plan is. happy anniversary!

im 7dpo too:) still dont feel different but i know its early. my anniversary is on thurs. 4 years:) gonna have a nice dinner and stay in. did u say ur hsg hurt? i asked my RE about it but she said since i got pregnant on my own i shouldnt have blocked tubes. im not sure though, i think i would feel better to double check. if i dont get a bfp this time then they want to reevaluate dh again. ive been responding well to the meds so maybe his count is slightly low. not sure what they will suggest. i have a hugh fx for you. maybe the hsg will fix ur spotting and stop it.

hey katie- it went so much smoother this time. his motility was only 9 million but my RE said they like at least 5 million and sometimes people get pregnant off 1 million. plus having 3 follicles gives a higher chance. just keeping my fx!! she seemed hopeful and i got to see his little swimmers through a microscope, lol. it was crazy.

the sauce was pretty good but I went a little heavy with the red pepper (mucho caliente). I have dh picking up more tomatoes to make the sauce lighter or if he feels adventurous we can turn it into Indian food with some chicken, yogurt, and curry. I will let him decide.

i had another scan today. 3 big follicles!! if i get a neg opk tonight then ill have an iui tues morn; if i get a pos opk tonight then iui in the am. im all worrying myself (which i always do) thinking i didnt have enough sex before. we bd'd fri night and RE said that was fine bc dh needs to abstain. im just concerned like always. guess things r so perfect this cycle and im scared to get my hopes up.

They never tested me for a short LP but after 3 MC i decided to do my own research and i.found out that b6 and b12 help extend it i started taking those along with my multi vitamins and now I'm almost 31 Weeks pregnant. Just my story hope it helps

I'm kindof worried I may have the same issue but I don't really know yet. the Dr will do a Cd 3 test for ovarian reserve next cycle to see how my eggs are doing. hey katie. i wonder what he meant saying he couldnt find ur right ovary? im glad ur having an hsg so quick. it will answer many questions. im also surprised he was dissapointed w one follicle on the left. most women only ovulate one follicle and thats why they have one baby. i bet if u get on clomid/letrozole u will have more follicles. this RE process is exhausting but try to hold on. let us know how ur hsg goes. and im glad ur dh will do the analysis. some men wont so its a good thing when u both r in this together.

I'm really sorry that your appt didn't go as well as you'd hoped Katie. If they didn't seem concerned it sounds like it shouldn't case you any issues. When I'm feeling really rubbish about a situation I always think to myself "what is the absolute worst that could happen here?". In your case, the absolute worse that could happen is that you may have to go down the I've route, which could still be extreme successful. I'm pleased that they're doing your tests so quickly though-it took me a year to get to where you are test-wise! Going back to work will be great for you to keep your mind busy. I'm sorry that you're feeling sad but try your best to stay positive, you're very strong to have got this far so keep it up hun ?

so my appointment was not as great as I would have hoped. the Dr did an internal sono and couldn't find my right ovary (he didn't seem too concerned but I found it weird) . on the left aids he only saw 1 follicle so he said that's more like what a woman in her early 40s would have. ive done a lot of crying today but we still don't have all the info. I'm having an hsg test tomorrow. and dh is having a semen anaylsis and blood work done too. I will have a cd3 blood test for ovarian reserve next cycle.

I'm hoping going back to work will distract me.

It makes complete sense thank you! Am only planning to take them for 3-4 months (they gave me double the supply of what the doctor ordered!) and then move onto ivf. Just waiting for my lap appt then going to get my gp to refer me rather than wait for next re appt on 6 nov.

i think out of this world things to sharon. its not just u:) i dont think the clomid works whether or not u have a bunch of symptoms. i switched to letrozole bc of the headaches from clomid and i dont get any symptoms from it. which is what the doc wanted. she didnt want me on something that would cause my pain like the awful headaches from clomid. however, i will tell u that clomid can thin ur lining out more. thats y i think its important if u can get scanned while taking meds bc after awhile ur body wont react to them so u wanna make sure everything goes good with it so u dont waste cycles. if that makes sense. lol. i know what im trying to say but not sure if it makes sense in typing. when do u see the RE?

That's excellent Brittney, everything sounds perfect for you so far! The only side effects I've had so far are to feel quite bloated all the time and a few minor headaches, not as bad as I was expecting thank goodness. Although, in my over-active mind, I do keep thinking what if it's not doing anything/much and thats why I've got very mild symptoms?!! God I need to stop this!

Katie-getting pg is definitely my priority, am going to stick with my job until having babies is definitely not happening for us. Think it also gives me a focus, knowing that I'll change profession if I can't get pg, so that it will hopefully make something good out of something that would devastate me. hey chicks- so had my cd11 scan today. i had one good size follicle and one smaller one on the right and two good size ones on the left. the amount she wanted!! so i got three right now. they r close in size so should grow together. so i take opks tonight and tomm, if i have a positive then i trigger and do iui. if i have negative then i take 50iu of follistim ton and tomm and do a scan fri and probably trigger. then iui on sunday. i would rather do an iui on sunday so i dont miss work and can relax. im excited and pray they grow how they should. i gotta get home and do some bd'ing:)

Am sticking with my job for now and then, if the day comes that I realise I'm never going to have children, I'm going to completely change my job. Think I'd like to work in something like social care but undecided yet. It would mean retraining completely but that's ok!

thanks for your support girls. dh should be in school for 1-3 years. we aren't sure yet because he is starting at a community college then transferring. I teach 12-13 year Old kids. they are crazy but that's what makes it fun.

The clomid has been fine so far. The hardest thing is telling myself over and over again that I mustn't get my hopes up that it'll work. As AF came early, my fertile period will be whilst we're away so i hope that we can sneak in alot of bd'ing as we're staying with friends whilst we're away. We're hoping to book one night in a hotel though so I may just have to carefully time that stay so that we're guaranteed some bd time during my fertile period!! ??

That great news that dh is going back to school Katie. Great career for him. How long will he be studying for? What age children do you work with?

oh sharon, i forgot u started clomid!! awesome:) i had awful headaches from it but it did its job and i o'd even though i didnt get pregnant. i also o'd earlier on it so watch out and make sure the bd'ing gets done:)

I actually go back to work Tuesday of next week. I am a little sad the summer is over but excited to see the new batch of kiddies. dh starts school tomorrow. hes going back to become an accountant. I'm excited for him.

totally love the 3 rule!! no crazy stories from fl other than we made it out in time. good weather and good surf. just a good time all around. now the countdown to disney starts. this time last yr i found out i was pregnant and then as soon as i left for disney (yes- i went this time last yr too) i miscarried. its bittersweet bc i love disney but to think a yr has gone by and no baby makes me sad. hopefully this time when i go i will be pregnant. fx!!

I know what you mean by the nhs Sharon. when we were in Ireland last summer my aunt broke her ankle and had to go to the hospital 2.5 hrs away in cork city. I was a little surprised how relaxed the local doctor was when he called the hospital to let them know we were bringing her in for x rays. they spent a solid 5 minutes talking about the weather in cork city as compared to the weather in Beara before discussing her ankle. I'm looking at my aunt in agony thinking lets move it along buddy. but I must say the people are far friendlier than they are here.

Hope your tests do go quicker than mine. The nhs is great but they are so slow and in no rush at all when it comes to infertility! Going to be taking my 1st clomid tonight before I go to bed! Katie-I know exactly what you mean there, dh always brushes it off too, saying things just like that. I'm sure they're just tying to be positive and make us feel better, but it just makes me feel like he doesn't care as much as I do. hey ladies. i love u girls and talking to u both:) im soooo excited for ur alls appts. at my first appt they did a bunch of bloodwk on me and an ultrasound. my dh was then sent for his samples. it moved pretty quick. i have an aggressive doc which i like. i cant wait to hear about ur appts and go on this adventure together with us all. then all our kids will be the same age:) and we can stay in touch during the 9 mths!! and im glad ur dh is coming around sharon. my dh didnt wanna go through with it @ first but once he met my doc and understood we needed help and was all for it. it helped make it a reality and he didnt think i was overreacting anymore.

Sharon I know what you mean about talking with dh. mine is always positive we are going to conceive which is good but sometimes when I get super upset saying "our time will come soon" just pisses me off.

I think the testing may run faster here. you know us new yorkers always moving fast. :)

Dh and I went out for food last night and he actually initiated a conversation about ttc (if i ever bring up the subject, he just says "it'll happen/it'll be fine stop worrying" as a conversation ender!!) and asked what happens next! I explained to him ...lap, then referral to clinic, then I explained how the ivf will work too...was pleased that he asked about it, as we don't really talk about it.

Katie, your expectations of the 1st appointment sound about right, which is good. Hope they get the testing moving along nice and quickly as all of my testing has taken what feels like ages!

the 1st appointment is a consult but I hope they take some blood and run a few tests. I know they will do an ultrasound and I hope they schedule dh tests too.

glad you had a nice trip brittney. I was worried about you with the hurricane down south. be brave for your shots. it will be worth it in the end.

Pixie39-I'm so sorry, I must have read your post in a rush. Have just re-read it and see that you mc Thursday. I'm so sorry, you must be feeling so so sad to have got your hopes up after all this time, only for this to happen again ?

I started sitting today which is far earlier than I expected but never mind, at least it should mean I have a short cycle and will hopefully have finished the clomid by the time we go on holiday. Were going to Miami, which is a 8.5hr flight. Have my pre-op (laparoscopy) appointment my first day back at work (17 September) and then I should get my op date through faulty soon after that. My follow up appointment with the fertility specialist is booked for 6 November but I'm going to get copies of all my tests etc and ask my doctor to refer me to the clinic, rather than waiting until then, if the lap doesn't show any problems that need further tests. She said I can do that, rather than waiting for the November appointment, so I will!

Katie-I know how you're feeling, I've been so crabbie these last few days. Every little thing has wound me up and I've snapped at dh quite a few times over things that don't normally bother me. It is still early though so there's still hope for you. Is your temp still up?

dh emailed the Dr and will go for fertility testing if he wants him to. still weepy. ..I stupidly tested this afternoon bfn shockingly. I'm finding myself more edgy with people today too.

Brittney-Great idea about the counselling, I'm quite a private person and dh doesn't really open up much either, so think I'd really benefit from counselling too. Are you doing it with dh too?

hi ladies....hope you don't mind me chiming in...i was scrolling thru the posts and came across this one...which is strangely odd because I have a friend that is a natural healer and believes in using natural herbs alot...yesterday we were talking and she told me to go to the herb store to buy red raspberry tea leaves in either capsules or the actual tea...it is suppose to help improve the uterine lining for accepting fertilized eggs, it's suppose to help the ovaries/uterus not be so thick which causes infertility, helps to prevent miscarriage, helps to make labor not as long and as painful, helps to not allow birth defects, not to have membrane tearing and is suppose to help lengthen the luteal phase giving the embryo longer time to implant...reason why this came up for me is because we did the gonal f injections along with an IUI in July and on 8/6 I found out I was PG only to miscarry last Thurs...she wants me to start the red raspberry tea right away...she knows her stuff and has done some chakra cleansing on me...i have nothing to lose so will go to the herbal store today...I know exactly how all of you feel...DH and I have been ttc off and on for 10 yrs...this is not the 1st time I have gotten PG but have never been able to stay PG...it's nice to know that I am not alone in this fight...I am the only one on both sides of my family that has fertility issues...it tears me up inside...I just turned 40 in June so my window is closing...we plan on trying again once my fertility dr says we are good to go...here's sending all of you baby dust for BFP's :)

sharon-dont ever think we will think different about u being upset over this pregnancy stuff. i actually am going to see a counselor. my ins covers five visits and i just need an outside person to talk to. my family/friends cant feel what we feel. i just think it will help and i hope im not as crazy..haha. i leave tomm (wed) @ 1pm. its a 10 hr drive but i like roadtrips. and the long drive will help me clear my head. im soo excited.

i went in for my cd3 appt. no cysts so i pick up my letrozole tonight and start injections on sun. i have a concern for triplets but she said we r just going for it and praying only three follicles grow. then it will be likely one or two babies.

thanks sharon. I cried again last night when dh got home and took a walk to the pharmacy which helped a bit. I'm off to ride now which should relax me a bit. btw my temp went up .3 degrees this morning. might be because I woke up to go to the bathroom in the middle of the night. I'm going to test tomorrow at 12 Fpo and again Friday.

I had another friend announce pregnancy her yesterday too and I did the same as you...put a brave face on and acted excited whilst desperate to be on my own the whole time, so that I could cry. hey girls. just came from lunch with 2 of my friends from work. one has a 10 month old and the other just surprised us that she is pregnant. I jumped up and hugged her but I'm hysterical now. she only went off Bc in march. meanwhile dh is texting me that his testosterone level dropped in spite of being on shots. it may not interfere with ttc but I cant help but wonder. I feel like I wasted my whole summer ttc and now im beating myself up that he may have the issue. I feel so deflated.

since dh's tests all came back normal my RE said she isnt holding back this cycle (i had 5 follicles last cycle) and not lowering the injection dose. so if i have 3 follicles then i will do iui and more than i will do timed intercourse. so im ready for these follicles to start growing. i have my cd3 appt tomm to begin this cycle:)

big fx for u this week!! katie- when do u get to test?? wish i was closer to ur alls cycles but mine r longer on these meds. im so ready for the beach this wk. when ru going on vaca sharon?? btw....it took me forever to realize we call it vaca and u call it holiday. lol. i kept thinking they have a lot of holidays, haha.

finally AF showed yesterday!! go to my doc tomm to get this show on the road. and gotta start packing for the beach:) i bought some things with my bday money for the trip. katie- when i temp'd on crinone i noticed it always made my temp stay up until i stopped it. when i temp'd before i started the crinone my temps seemed more accurate. it sucks but i wouldnt read too much into them after u o just bc progesterone makes ur temps rise anyway so thats y they go up when ur pregnant. however, i still have my fx crossed for u. i want us all to get this together. also good job at making the 400, that never hurts:) we just paid someone 1000 to take a tree down....blahh.

No scans planned only a day 21 blood test for the first cycle. Don't think I did/will ovulate this month but that's fine, cos hopefully clomid will sort that. Wow I'd 'love it' if it turned out that I wasn't fully ovulating as then there's be some hope that clomid would work!!

Rebooked my pre-op assessment for my first day back at work after fl, which will give me a nice easy first day back!

sounds like u got a good plan sharon. r they scanning u on clomid?? i do know that ur body can build up to o and thats y the opks get dark but then not follow through with the o. i have learned so much about my ovaries since being scanned, lol. thats good katie, just stay busy so u dont have to stress:) i dont know if it matters how high ur temp is but at least its up, fx. yes, i got a lot to do this wkend to prepare. i looked @ the forecast down there and its rainy:( hope that changes.

my mother in law is coming over tomorrow to go to a craft fair, then I'm working Saturday night from 6-1 and I'm working Sunday 12-6. that should keep my mind off of testing. my temp is still above the coverline but I was hoping it would go way up.

My appointment for a pre-op assessment arrived yesterday, but it's for whilst I'm on holiday. Going to rearrange it today. Then to wait for the Laparoscopy (realised that I don't need the die part as I've had the HSG already), see what the results of that are, if it finds anything that needs treating, I'll get that treated first, then onto iui/ivf with the private clinic. Hoping the clomid works and that isn't necessary but I very much doubt it will, since I'm already ovulating. Although Fertility Friend still hasn't given me my cross hairs back (when they were put in earlier than i expected, they went after I put in the next days temp) so not sure if I'm just crap at temping or if my 2 opks were lying to me! Oh well I'll just sit it out and hope that AF gets here ASAP, so I can start the clomid.

hey girlies...update...while brushing my teeth in the shower this morning the toothpaste went down the wrong pipe and made me cough for 5 minutes followed by me throwing up a bit (yes I have 2 masters degrees and I nearly choked myself brushing my teeth) . sadly I often have food/drink go down the wrong pipe so to speak but its never made me throw up before.

important info about this...I had about 5 milano cookies for breakfast before the toothpaste accident (breakfast of champions).

ive been a bit nauseous since. I made myself eat a peanut butter sandwich, drink an iced green tea and I'm now drinking seltzer. I also walked to the shops to run some errands and hopefully settle my yummy. no such luck though I haven't thrown up since. I'm only 6 dpo so I know its too early to test but I'm nervously hopeful. what do you think?

Am so pleased that we got enough bd in, as I can spend yet another 2ww knowing that we've done everything we can! Am 1dpo now with AF due 29th August which hopefully means it'll be gone by the time we go on holiday.

hey brittney usually it takes 2-3 days after stopping crinone for af to start, although last cycle af started while still on crinone. I'm hoping this is the cycle. I am not hungry at all then suddenly starving and when I pig out I immediately feel nauseous. I may be looking into all this though.

dh has lost 25 lbs in the past 3 months maybe this will help?

i dont leave until next wed and staying through the wkend. so this wkend i gotta get my oil done, new tags on the car, licensed renewed and clean my car out. we r taking mine to fl. i am probably gonna clean the house real good so it will b clean when i get back.

wearesoready- I was taking a b complex from Feb to July but I stopped this cycle because it definitely wasn't helping me. I am taking crinone progesterone after ovulation and it seems to be helping.

Wearesoready - I've been taking complex b vitamins since before we started ttc approx 21 months ago and it hasn't made any difference to me. ? Thank you for the suggestion though. Am hoping that clomid will make my luteal phase a little longer.

great news Brit! I love that fighter attitude. I'm continuing the crinone tonight and I'm pretty positive since my temp went up a bit today. now the temperature rise could be from the crinone but I'm psyched that I'm staying over the coverline the last 5 days. I'm often more inconsistent.

I got my ff cross hairs for Friday also (Cd 10 for me) I'm kind of excited though (sorry Sharon) because we bd Wednesday Thursday and Friday. we'll have to wait and see. I'm definitely starting the crinone tonight. I hope I can make this happen.

Katie-I'd wait to be sure too, if it's important that you take it after o (sorry I don't know anything about when to take crinone).

Brittney-road trip to fl sounds great, you should definitely go. That will be so good for you and will give you something to take your mind off testing (if that were at all possible!!). How long will you go for?

FF gave me crosshairs Friday which means I o'd a few days early than normal, if it's right. Am going to still do opk's for a few days though just incase. If it is right, we only bd'd Saturday morning which means that this will be the easiest tww since I knew what a tww is, since I don't think that gives us much/any chance this month. At least I may get to start the clomid sooner than I thought, if it's right, and I'll have finished it by the time we go on holiday which will be good!

hey girls. my temp went up to 98.2 this morning (really 98.3 but I temped 15-30 min later than usual so felt the need to adjust. I also took my temp super early by mistake and it was still 97.9 (on the high side for me).

I use the opks and had a strong positive for one day (Thursday) so I think I'm in the 2ww.

brittney I love yorkies. my dad had 2. super cute. glad shes feeling better.

I'm addicted to fertility friend. I went on there and put in temps for tomorrow to see what would happen. if my temp is 97.9 or higher it thinks I ovulated on Friday which would be perfect! I had a bit of spotting when I went to the bathroom before which makes me think that fertility friend was spot on (pun intended). I am going to try and wait to take the crinone tomorrow to confirm for sure that I ovulated. what do you think?

That's so frustrating when it does that! Have you been taking your temps at the same time each day? What info did you add before it changed? I'm not very good at that so I don't rely on fertility friend that much, I rely on opks more. I think I got my positive opk yesterday but I'm not sure as both lines were very very faint but the sane colour. Am going to keep bd, keep an eye on my temps and do opks for a few more days, just incase. Sounds like you met have o'd. Have you been using opks? At least you've got plenty of bd in, sounds like you've got all those says covered. Remember the little spermies can live inside us for 5 days!

Your dog sounds very cute Brittney, glad the vets are making him better for you ?

hmm....weird. it was usually spot on with my temps. its a hard thing to figure out when to take the crinone.

thanks for the fertility friend advice. I went on there now and it says I ovulated on wed. so I'm not sure if we made it or not. we bd twice on Sunday, Wednesday morning, Thursday and Friday. wish we had done it mon and Tuesday. I think I am going to start the crinone tomorrow. that would be 4 days past ovulation.

I went back on again though added a bit more info and now it says I may have ovulated between Thursday and today. it isn't confirming ovulation yet. ugh!

hey chicks. she is better. had an infection and might have to do a diabetes test. she is pretty high maintenance but she is the cutest thing ever and im her mommy so i gotta take care of her:)

my sister in law is only 8 weeks so no word on the sex of the babies yet. I actually have 2 sets of twin nieces (one on each side of the family) and one nephew so whatever the sex of these twins is exciting.

I'm thinking I haven't gotten preggo because I'm ovulating earlier than the Dr expected (Cd 9-11 instead of 14-15). he wanted me to take crinone starting Cd 18 each month but I think that's too late. what do you think?

Am so pleased that its nearly the weekend! It's even going to be sunny here in the uk! Have you girls got anything nice planned for the weekend? We're going to do some gardening tomorrow then I'm meeting up with a friend and her little boy on Sunday. I'm arranging a baby shower for another friend (she's due in october) and thought that I'd hate every moment of it but I'm actually really excited as we've got some fun ideas and the people that will be there will be really good fun.

yay! I got a positive opk this afternoon. glad we bded yesterday and this morning. will bd again tomorrow. thinking of clear water and sandy beaches and positive preggo tests. staying calm and positive. happy almost weekend ladies.

I love the beach but would love to do more culture traveling. The resort in mexico was nice. Blue waters that u could see through. Omg, that sounds like the coolest thing ever. I've never been to a wedding with that but would totally love to. I'll recommend it to my future child:)

Katie - Sounds like its time to start more bd just incase...I don't rely too heavily on temping as I'm not very good at doing it at the same time every day, but if your OPK is getting darker, it sounds like its nearly time!

I went to Mexico last year for new year and loved it. I love beach holidays so it was perfect for me and dh. I would definitely go back. We splashed out a bit on the hotel so stayed in a lovely all inclusive resort. Now no other holiday will live up to Mexico!

I'm so pleased its Friday tomorrow. I'm due to start on the opks tomorrow as I'm due to o probably Monday. Then the horrible tww again. I'm excited about picking my clomid up (picking it up on Monday after work) but am trying so hard not to get too hopeful about it. ?

dh competes with a bagpipe band in Glasgow. I went last year and enjoyed my trip but he'll go over the week before competition to practice. that's no fun for me.

so my temp started to go up today moving up .3 degrees and the ovulation strip was darker this morning. I'm wondering if I'm going to ovulate todayish even though its only Cd 9. I wonder if the crinone is shifting me a bit.

My appointment for the lap and dye should come through within 2 months then have a follow up appointment with the fertility specialist early November. Don't think I'll wait for the appointment though. Will have the lap and dye and then will self refer myself to clinic for treatment, as I'll know the results of the lap and dye straight after the op, so there's no point in wasting more time and waiting for the follow up appointment to tell me what I already know... unless I need treatment following the lap and dye results of course ?

Katie I know what you mean, I get excited thinking about just going to the park over the road with a little one. Or going for a picnic...such simple things that would be amazing with a little one.

spent another fun day with my friend's boys. today we did the whaling museum and ice cream. I cant wait to be a parent and show them the amazing things we have in our own backyard so to speak.

sharon-dh is talking about going back to Scotland next summer. I wouldn't mind staying home with a little one (God willing) if he does. I enjoyed my trip last summer but its expensive to travel so far.

Brittney, I was suprised when she said clomid wouldn't increase my chances too. I am carefully hopeful that it will help. If anything, it just feels good to be trying something extra. Even if it barely increases my chances at all...something is better than nothing!

hey brittney dh is back and seems to have more energy for bd. I'm feeling pretty good. I went to yoga last night and went horseback riding today. I'm kind of tired now but feeling pretty hopeful. I'm on Cd 7 now. I do temp and feel like ive been more relaxed this cycle. I'm enjoying this beautiful day.

hey ladies. sharon, im surprised that doc said clomid doesnt increase chances. of course it does bc it produces more follicles. i havent had the dye test since i got pregnant before. my doc knows at least one tube is open, however, she will want to do a laprascopy next cycle i believe if im not pregnant this time to see if i have endo. Dh is also getting tested again this week to check his dna fragmentation. lol. this stuff is insane:) i think im 5dpo, my boobs r sore but im pretty sure its from the hcg shot. im trying not to look too much into it bc i know i will next week and be a crazy person, lol. katie- is ur dh back in town?? how ru feeling?? do u temp?? i cant remember.

Sharon - as far as I know the dye test is pretty standard when going through fertility treatment. all of the girls I know who've gone through fertility said their drs did it as part of the workup to rule out blockages and things.

So I've just got out of my appointment and they've referred me for a lap and dye incase my spotting is a sign of endo/polyp. I don't have any other symptoms of either so not sure if this is just wasting valuable time before the ivf referral. The waiting list is 2 months. What do you think? I'm still undecided about it?

I asked for clomid and she agreed to 3 months of it cd2 - 6 She wasn't keen, as she said the studies show it doesn't increase my chances but then said I should avoid taking clomid on my lap & dye cycle incase is gets me pregnant??!! Off to get my script for clomid now! How are you ladies doing today?

Dh asked me when my appointment was, last night, so I suppose he'd kind of remembered. Dh isn't coming today as he any get the time off work and I'd rather go on my own today anyway. Today's appointment (as far as I know) is just for the fertility specialist to give me my hsg results (which i kind of know already) and to refer me to the private clinic that'll do the iui/ivf. Have had all my tests done as far as I know. Will definitely be taking dh with me to first private clinic appointment. Am hopefully going to be able to call them when I get home from today's appointment, to book our appointment with them. Then the plan begins! Am very excited and a little nervous! I'll update you both when i get back!

im sorry ur cramping. my cramps r much worse on all these hormones. i took the trigger shot last night and now my boobs hurt so bad. i wouldnt care that they hurt if i actually was pregnant but instead i have the symptoms from the shot but no baby.

8% crinone but I think I ovulated early and took the crinone too late. I'm going to be a little more aware of my cycle this go around. if I know I ovulated I'm going to start taking it 2-3 days later. I don't think it will hurt me...certainly not as much as the cramps I'm having right now.

yes, its much better to laugh. i say that but i always cry when i get a negative, lol. what dose of crinone are you on? its just weird to start on it. i thought it was strong enough to prevent it.

Dr just called. he said that sometimes your period starts on low dose progesterone so since I had a neg preg. test stop the crinone and start again this month. at least I might be able to jump dh when he gets home. its better to laugh than cry right?

thanks Brit. I am still waiting for the doctor to call back. I love him but I think I'm ready for more aggressive action.

hey ladies I just left a message with the Dr. office. Ymir alert...the spotting seems worst when I use the bathroom. I had some period like bleeding this morning in addition to the brown clumpy crinone discharge. dh has a Dr appointment next week and will ask about fertility testing for him. he has low testosterone which he gets a shot for once a month but I'm wondering if the shot is interfering with ttc. I need to stay off google!

brittney- sorry you're sore. hopefully it will be worth the pain.

i cant remember ur age but maybe that is why they r pushing u towards ivf. have they tested ur dh?? they will do alot of testing @ ur appt with the specialist. but its interesting to see ur ovaries, follicles and all the bloodwk. our bodies r amazing things.

i took my trigger shot last night. this was the first time i did it in the belly. uhh im sore now.

I'm kind of hoping that the new clinic will offer different suggestions before going to ivf. I'm hoping that they'll tell me I've got a good chance with iui. But then is really love to be able to have 2 children and, if I'm lucky enough to have any children at all and it takes this long for each, I don't have that much time left. That makes me tempted to just go to ivf. I think I'll wait and see what the new clinic suggests and then make my decision.

Hope you get some answers from your doc today, about your spotting, Katie.

katie- thats weird ur spotting on the crinone. i will be interested to see what ur doc says about it.

sharon- thats awesome how supportive ur boss is. it makes a world of difference. so how come again does ur doc want to move straight to ivf?? maybe this re will offer different suggestions.

I may call the Dr again tomorrow to see what he says...I'm sure he'll be thrilled to hear from me again. ha ha ha.

My appt with the re is Tuesday and I can't wait to get a plan in place! Told my boss today and she was amazing. I cried a little, completely out of nowhere, but that was fine. She made me promise to take it easy whilst I'm doing the ivf treatment and said she'd give me any support I need. Turns out she conceived her youngest with Clomid, so she kind of knows what we're going through.

Katie I have always only ever tested when af is late but, since your dh will be away on test day would probably end up testing on Wednesday, if I was in your shoes. Although if you do and you do get a negative, you must remember that it is still early and that you are still in with a chance. Or, if you decide not to test, you could wait til dh is back then you can either share your great news with him straight away or get his support if it is negative. I agree, it is a very tough decision.

hmm thats a hard one. i always waited until my missed period bc thats when i got a positive last time. i also hate taking tests when dh knows bc i hate dissapointing him. i get bloodwk done so i dont take tests. but on the other hand it would b nice for him to know if u got a positive before he left.

I'm getting nervous to test. technically tomorrow is Cd 25 for me. I'm only thinking of testing tomorrow because if its positive dh will be home in the morning and I can share the news. should I wait to test Saturday,? I'm getting cold feet.

hey ladies, well i only had one follicle. i was upset last week about going from 5 to 1 but i feel better today. its just meant to be this way and it only takes 1. so we will just bd the next few dys and see what happens. its kind of a relief to know i dont have to go to the doc for two weeks since we arent doing insemination this round. i needed a little break.

sharon- im sure u will do fine telling ur boss. it can b emotional.

katie- so how long is ur dh gone again?

we actually saw the movie while in Ireland last summer...we had a crazy day driving one of my husband's aunts to the hospital for a broken ankle. after the 2 hour drive where I nearly threw up from car sickness the inbetweeners movie was a nice evening activity. its not as good as the show though.

if you get upset while speaking to your boss don't beat yourself up. its normal to be emotional about something you want so much.

I have a few things planned for the weekend while hes away . hopefully I will have good news but we'll see.

Oh and I love the Inbetweeners too, I've seen all of them many times and they're still just as funny. Jay is genius!!! Have you seen the film yet? Not quite as funny as the series but still good!!

You will be fine Katie, You will know either way very soon and then you can deal with the outcome, whatever it may be. Hoping so much that it's a good outcome for you. ?? Do you have things to keep you busy/occupied whilst dh is away?...I know that if I'm on my own I obsess about everything far more than normal and end up driving myself a little mad with all the thinking.

I'm telling my boss tomorrow and I kind of wanted to tell her today, think I just want to actually talk about it now and I know she'll be a great listener. Just hope I don't get upset, don't think I will though!

katie- im excited for wed for u!! when i was pregnant my boobs didnt hurt until about 4 dys after my missed period so it could be a good sign. i have my dr appt during lunch today so fx and ill let u know how it goes. im nervous:)

dh leaves wed morning and comes home in the wee hours of Sunday morning. I'm trying to stay positive but I don't want to be crushed. my stomach seems a bit off but who knows. like I said my bbs still aren't sore which is odd. I do have some brown spotting that I think is from the crinone.

It was 11pm Sunday in the uk, when it was 6pm your time, so we must be 5 hours ahead.

Yes the wine was very good, will no doubt have some more at the weekend (I am counting down the days until the weekend already!) and then that's it for another 3 weeks!!

We must have quite different tv shows here in the uk, as I've never heard of the ones that you mention. But I do love trash tv and we have alot of that here in the uk too!

Thank you, am quite surprised at how strong I'm feeling. Have had a few moments today where I've felt a bit low but am fine on the whole. Had some wine with lunch which helped a little!

hey ladies, im sorry sharon but im so proud of u for staying so positive. it makes a difference in this whole process. when u ladies r strong it makes me stronger:) katie, im so excited for u. i got a big fx for you!! the crinone can be a tricky thing with symptoms, i totally understand the frustration but maybe since no sore boobs then its a good thing since u usually have it:)

i have an appt tomm. ive had lots of twinges so im hoping they r growing and will catch up with the shots help:)

I'm a little crampy, i have a dull headache and very tired but that could be from the crinone. weirdly my bbs are not sore like they usually are but idk.

Thank you Katie, I feel ok about it actually, as by the time my next AF arrives I should have a good idea of when my treatment (whatever that may be) will be starting. And it'll be a few days before mine and dh's holiday, so I should be in a good place then. I'm normally in a horrible mood all day when AF arrives after days of thinking am I/aren't I. Today I feel quite normal.

It won't hurt to start testing Wednesday. Would be amazing if you get your BFP before dh goes away as well! Are you having any symptoms yet?

I have to test because I'm on crinone. af wont come when you're on progesterone. I should test Saturday but I'm debating testing wed. because dh will be away in Saturday. I know it would be early (cd25) but I got a positive the last time on cd25.

I'm on cd21 now enjoying the crinone morning discharge...tmi? hoping this is the month. I'm certainly more cranky than usual. I got in from work and my dh didn't vacuum like he said he would and made even more of a mess. I went up to bed because I was afraid I'd kill him...I'm usually more mellow than that.

Hope you're feeling more positive today. As you say, it's still really positive that you have one and you may still get more yet, there's still a good chance for you. I hate how we can feel so positive about things one minute and then so so down and upset the next.

We've (i say we but i mean dh!!!) just lit the BBQ now and will be getting the steak on it ASAP! Having a glad of traditional lemonade and as soon as AF shows get face I'll be changing that for some wine or beer instead!! ?

hey ladies, thanks for the supporting words. i was really down last night. these shots r expensive, time consuming and not comfortable. i was sad to think i went through all that for nothing. but it could be worse, at least i have one. i could have none or five. and i def dont want more than two @ a time for safety reasons. im still doing a higher dose of shot to see if the others catch up. i have a scan monday, fx.

No AF yet, still spotting, but temp went down today (not below coverline yet but still quite a drop) so af'll be here today at some point!

hey ladies, sorry ive been in an all day meeting then the doc appt. well i guess my dose was too low the past few nights bc only one is growing. i have a 17.5, 12.5, 12.5, 10.5 on right and a 10.5 on left. im bummed. i was hoping for three good ones. she put me on a higher dose for the next three nights to see if the 12s can catch up. i know injections r a gamble bc u dont wanna over or under stim. i just felt good about this cycle but now it might b a bust if the other two dont catch up. if i only have the one i prolly wont d iui bc of the cost and will stick to times intercourse.

i actually do talk to my dh but its bc its getting pricey so i want him to know whats going on. at first it drove him crazy but then he realized how much this baby means to me and how bad he wants it. so we talk some about it. not a ton bc i dont wanna wear him out but more than we used to. it helps bc im a people person so if i hold this stuff in ill go crazy and crack:) i have some friends who went through infertility so talking to her helps bc she knows how i feel.

dh knows i have this app but i just tell him the crazy stories i read about on rants n raves..lol.

hey girls. I try not to mention too much of my crazyness to my dh. he'd tell me to relax which might puss me off. I just spent the day with my bff's 2 boys. video games, chuck e cheese, drawings that always look like penis and balls...I thought it was supposed to be snakes and snails and puppydog tails.

Yes my boss is female and I get on really well with her so know she'll be fine with it. Am most nervous about telling her because I'm not sure if I really want to open up and talk about it. Dh and I don't really talk about it because I know that if I start I won't stop and I don't want him to get fed up with hearing about all the detail. He doesn't even know I have this app, google everything ttc related, use opks, think about ttc every waking minute etc!

i had a shot last night and one tonight. it kinda sucks bc i cant do much @ night now since i have to take my shot @ 830. its like i have to sit around and b home @ that time for the shot. i want to go to the movies tomm but i cant if i have to do my shot. uhhhh. i have a scan tomm so ill find out if i gotta keep taking them or not. i shouldnt complain bc they r doing their jon:)
