Labor Story: A week PP.
I went in to be induced last Sunday 11/08 @ 7:30p. Started the cervidil to thin my cervix. Wasn't to bad. Went thru the night with no pain, very few contractions. So at 6:00a they pulled the cervidil out, THAT HURT. Like paper cuts in my whoha and started the pitocin. @ around 7:45 I was only dilated to a 2, and contractions started coming in, but I wasn't feeling them lol So my OB came in and broke my water. @ around 3:45p got to a 4 only 80% thinned and opted for the epidural bc they were saying I was moving to slow and baby wasn't even dropping, and it would be better for us both for me to relax. Well I had an adverse reaction to it and my bp dropped twice. Got that figured out. @4:20p they came in to check me and move the monitors around bc they were losing baby's ♡beat. They inserted the monitor that went beside her head, couldn't get anything steady, so they put the one inside on her head. When that wasn't picking up the room got packed with nurses. They flipped me, pushed on her to get her to move, within two minutes I was being rolled back to have an emergency c section bc her ♡beat was gone. I was so scared. I was in the OR and bc I had just got the epidural they started right away, like as they were strapping me down they were already cutting me open. When they got to her shoulders I felt it a lil more than I could handle and they put me under. From losing her ♡beat til the time she arrived was 13 minutes. My baby girl Carlie Jane was born @4:37p Monday 11/09 weighing 8lbs 2oz 20 ins long. She had to stay in the NICU the whole time bc she came out not wanting to breathe on her own. That cleared up the next day, but she was jaundice. She was there 5 days and I 4, but I got to stay there with her(Thank God). Now we are both home! I'm recovering very well. I haven't had any complications. Breastfeeding is a lil bit of a struggle bc she was given a paci and bottle in the NICU bc I was out so long after, and got sick from all the anesthesia the night she was born. But we are working on it and supplementing formula to top her off. Had her 1 week appointment today, she's perfect! #laborstory
1) this pic is gorgeous! 2) you are very strong and brave. Done beat yourself up about struggling with motherhood. We ALL do at some point. 3) your baby is absolutely beautiful! Congrats. How are things going now that she's a little older? My baby is almost 3 months and sleeping is getting better at night.
