I found out recently from my gyn. I’ve been wanting to get it years ago but my old gyn failed me lol. She didn’t have the vaccine at the time when I was in my 20’s so she told me to go try the hospital and it was a disaster at the time. No one there knew what I was talking about and it was a really long line and wait time. I think now maybe even cvs may have it but I figured I missed my chance back then until recently I got the first dose. My gyn told me that the vaccine may even help women fight the strain they already have and that anyone should be able to get it now. I had a positive Pap test last year my first time so I was worried that I was gonna get cervical cancer but when I did the check up this year it was cleared. If I am lucky hopefully I will never get the cancer if it is true that the vaccine can help fight against it. I thought that it would only be effective if people didn’t have any kind of abnormal pap. That was a nice surprise when she told me that. I believe it is 3 doses that you will need total. I had my first one about a month ago and I get the next one but the end of next month.
