No, your sex life isn't over because of hpv, your body usually clears it up in about 2 years. You just have to get it checked yearly for abnormal cervical cells. Other people can get warts, depending on the strain.

Anyone who has ever had sex can have HPV - it's so common that four out of five people will have had HPV at some time in their lives. In most cases, it clears up by itself in one to two years. In rare cases, if the virus persists and is left undetected, it can lead to cervical cancer. This usually takes about 10 years.
HPV is an STI. And most women have it. Doesn’t mean anything. Just means gotta keep getting it checked so that the cells don’t turn into cancer. Men can get it too, obviously, but it’s harder for them to get tested for it.
@ai.ariel, it is! My friend just found out she got HPV and for a reason idk she is getting surgery to have the cells removed. She doesn’t have cancer though.

Why would your love life be over ? Lol hpv isn’t a sexual transmitted disease it also depends how bad it is there different types of hpv

@ai.ariel in many cases it clears before 4 years, but in some cases, it doesn't go away. Even if that's the case, I've heard of women having it for years and it not causing them a problem
