Potty training makes me feel like such a failure as a parent like how do I keep missing getting him on the toilet by like 5 seconds. Or he poops on the floor and the toilet is like two feet away. I feel like such a bad parent. It's like a cruel joke and life is just laughing at me. I hate myself like if only I kept him on the potty for another minute he could have peed in it. So many missed opportunities. Why am I so awful at this. I don't know what to do. I don't know if I should wait or if we'll keep more success of we pursue. I feel so lost on what to do

Mama, what you need is an ounce of confidence. I'm sorry you feel so lowly about yourself and send you loads of hugs to help give you a boost. Confidence in yourself and in your son are the first steps towards his, and ultimately your, success.

Mama, if every woman in the world were completely honest with you, they would tell you,"No one does." The best of mothers are the ones who give their all daily, accepting that every moment is a moment of learning and that even the best of us have moments of failure now and again. You can't become good at something without practice. Mothering your child well takes a lifetime of practice. Some days will be full of success, laughter, and joy. Other full of tears, feelings of failure, and sadness. At the end of your life your success will be a culmination of all of the above. Above all love God first and love your son and yourself as much as you possibly can. Love grows with time. Patience for self and son will get you through. Please, take a moment and look in the mirror. Tell yourself,"You were built for this, God gave you the perfect child for you, and you are the perfect mother for him. Faults included you are a perfect match. God loves you no matter what and you must love yourself and your baby, so today is a new day and today is the day that I embrace me". Give yourself a hug, silly as it may sound and repeat as often as necessary. I promise you, with a little confidence life will become easier. I'm 37. I don't have all the answers but I promise you I always speak from experience and from my heart. I wish I'd have had someone say these things to me when I was really young. I had to learn the hard way how to have faith in myself. It's ok to acknowledge shortcomings, but never accept defeat. God made you and loves you and you have the victory in Him if you accept it. Hugs mama! I'm here if you ever want to chat.
