I don't understand!!! ?
What does it mean to "feel some type of way"?!? I keep seeing it all of a sudden and I feel like I misses the memo. I asked on a thread but nobody answered and it's still eating at me! Lol! I need someone to help me keep up with the youngsters. I'm old and lost. ?
Adasmommy, no, it wasn't you. It was a few posts a couple of days ago. One in particular was asking for advice, but she used this phrase. I wondered how I was supposed to give advice if I had no idea what she was saying or how she felt about it. Thanks for all the responses, ladies! I knew I could count on you!
I guess I am my SO and I are uneducated because when he walks past me and pulls my hair I say "Oh, you trying to make me feel some type of way?" He responds, "To the room if you feel that way."
All that explanation of feelings that educated people need is not part of our dialogue.
My SO is 38 and a very established man by the way.
It seems so silly to me. I don't want to play 20 questions when they could easily just say "I'm angry or hurt or excited..."
When someone says it use context clues.
If someone is rude to you and yoy say "That chick got me feeling some type of way." The way Im feeling is clearly upset because someone was rude.
If your man smacks your ass and you say "That got me feeling some type of babe." Duh he knows it means horny.
It really isn't that difficult.
Daft enough to be able to correctly identify my emotions! Wait... I don't think I used "daft correctly. Great, back to the dictionary...
MrsCortez, I think it's like charades. I'm feeling some type of way. It's got 2 syllables. Any guesses?
B., you got it! ?
Sexy, I'm feeling fine, thanks! My 3 year old sometimes feels "some type of way", but he gets a pass because he's 3. I have a hard time imagining a grown adult not being able to put a name to their emotions. Maybe it's an arrested development issue?
Every time I use the I phrase I reference it to another person. Ex: I make.my bf mad and it's amusing to me I'd tell him, " what you feel some type of way". When using it people are usually aware of the emotion they are feeling they just use the phrase because they caught on to it. But most people wouldn't understand if they Don't understand the song or don't comprehend slang well.
Yeah, I get it. At the risk of offending anyone that uses it, I hope we are all intelligent and self-aware enough to describe the emotions we are having or at least try to come close.
I've seen it on 4 different posts in the last 2 days.
Ok! I listened to the song and I looked up the lyrics. It's still an enigma to me! Lol! But that's ok. I'll leave this phrase to the mommies that are younger and hipper than I am!
Someone being rude makes me feel pissed, or hurt, or defensive, or angry... I guess I understand the idea behind it now, I just don't like it. I'm a very emotional person. I like to identify the emotion I'm having at the time I'm having it.
I think...again, I think it means exactly what it days. Depending on the situation, that situation has you feeling some kind of way. Ex: fist time she met her love, he had her feeling some kind of way. I.e he had her feeling amazing...
Am I right??? I don't know. I still don't know what tbh means! Lol
Echos, I'm sure you did, but I still don't get it. Lol! If I know how I'm feeling then I say it. If I don't know how I'm feeling then I say "I don't know how to feel about this". I can't think of any instance where I would say I'm feeling some type of way and then not describe what type of way that is. It makes me feel like I'm left hanging. Maybe that's the point? Maybe I'm sleep-deprived and this isn't actually a big deal? ;)
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
TWW!!
2dpo and on the tww journey. Anyone on the same dpo or close? Haven't decided if I will test at 12dpo or just wait and see if she shows up!!
Yeah toni. That's what I meant.I get them mixed up. . But op it's not a lack of knowing the emotion you're feeling. Different community groups utilize this phrase more than others..
