Ladies who got married in a register office and then had a party, what do you do between the ceremony and the party? There's a couple hours to kill between them isn't there or am i thinking wrong?
Being as tho I'm pregnant do you think I should stay home during my boyfriends birthday party ? It'll be drinking and partying and I'm jus big and it'll prolly make me uncomfortable . What would you do ?? Let him have fun without you or jus be pregnant at a party ?

Yeah were having welcome drinks too so wen we get to venue the guests will go in and well have pics taken on the golf course

Depends how you book. When we had finished at the registry our guests went straight to the reception venue and were given welcoming drinks etc. While we went on a boat ride/ had pics taken. We had some more time when we arrived for mingling and drinks before the sit down meal but were allowed in the venue.

It is easier if u do it all in one place ie a hotel then theres messing jist depends on ur budget ur talking 3000 upwards for that bit my whole wedding has cost about 4000 including my dress and a vintage coach for 35 ppl to the ceremony

That's all a good idea,the afternoon tea sounds lovely! I like the thought of it all at one place, just can't justify the price they want for food lol xx

I'm having 40 ppl through the day including us and were having g 80 to 85 altogether at night so an extra 40 to 45 ppl. To be honest it's the food that costs my full reception is 1025 for 40 day guest and 80 to 85 night including dj at a local golf club . Weve got afternoon tea for day time and hot meat samdwhichs in baos with roast potatoes for night and having wedding cake as pudding and kids r having kids table chicken nuggets chips pizza fish fingers

Were getting married at 2.15 then got pics were arriving at our reception for 4.00 but weve provided transport were having after noon tea then night guests r arriving at 7.30 n night food served at 9 ish. We will have pics at the town hall then loads at the golf club all that takes a bit of time

We got married at a registry office at 2, ceremony took about 45 minutes. We didn’t have a party though but did have a table in a restaurant booked for 5:30. We had photos done and just general chatting. Arrived at the restaurant at 4:30ish so we sat outside and had a drink in the sunshine

thats what i wanted just a little wedding but my OH wants everyone there 🙄 we compromised on the ceremony but they'd still be about 40 people to feed.. it's brilliant that you got the flowers and the photos too! Im just having my daughters and my niece as bridesmaids and my nephew as pageboy so hoping their outfits won't cost the earth!xx

A wedding doesn’t have to cost the earth. In my opinion there isn’t really a point in spending a fortune to impress people. We didn’t have to struggle to scrimp and save any money or put ourselves out as we were trying to afford things. We booked our and arranged it all in about 8 weeks or so. Looking back I wouldn’t have done it any other way! I highly recommend small weddings!

she looks so lovely too! I agree, if it was up to me I'd have the minimum at a registry office and then a meal, my OH wants the party and everyone there, so I'll be trying to do it as reasonable as possible xx
