Who has the IUD and how do they feel about it and which one yah got I need help in choosing between the one with hormones or copper ?
I had mirena for three years and hate it, i kept getting an infection (unknown bacteria) and i also kept getting ovarian cysts and i end up getting surgery to get one removed that kept growing. Now i have the copper one and i love it, my period is very light to the point where i wouldn’t even fill a whole pad my entire cycle (of course i change it though lol) it’s no hormones so i don’t get the crazy mood swings and crankiness i used to with mirena,
@denisse.m, yeah I didn’t tell him I was going to breastfeed so yeah I know my aunt had I think the 10 year one and she had so much problem
@chanty1014, you can always get the iud anytime you want, some people think that they can’t until the “time” comes of however many years it’s for.
@chanty1014, did it hurt when they put it in ? And when they took it out
I had the mirena for 4 years. I did get quite a few yeast infections.
I now have liletta. It’s a 3 yr one and so far I love it I have had it in for about a year now. I very light to no period.
Never herd of it I would have to look into it and see if my clini has that birth control
@chanty1014, it’s pretty much just like mirena just a different brand. It’s newer
I had the Mirena for almost 5 years. I loved it. Didn’t have problems until it was close to the 5 year mark. Had it removed for baby number 4.
@chanty1014, everyone is different. That’s actually the only birth control that I could use. My body could not handle the other ones.
@tracymarie, so I should give it a try then ?
@chanty1014, it’s up to you. But you always talk to your doctor to see which one is best got you. If u don’t like it you can always find something else that works for u
I have the copper one and I love it. Took a good five months to have less of a super heavy period though
@chanty1014, ya but it’s so worth all the pros. No hormones, no weight gain and you feel completely normal. I also had zero spotting. But the periods were SO heavy like I had to use pads and had to miss work almost monthly because of it. I’ve been on it for almost 1.5 years and I won’t change it for anything and my period is a lot better now
@ecahanes, so I should just give it try then ?
@chanty1014, I mean up to you but I really like it
Had Mirena and I loved it the first 4 months, after that it was my worst nightmare. I had it removed because it was giving my yeast infections back to back
@gianasmom, omg 😯 shit is crazy they need to improve that device then I had the nuvaring and I love it but in a way it’s kind of annoying
@gianasmom, does it hurt when they insert it or take it off ?
@chanty1014, insertion wasn’t bad but I felt a little pressure getting it removed
I had the Mirena for 3 years no period and loved it until I started getting really bad BV because hubby would always hit it durn sex which caused the BV but overall it was the best I had no issues with it :) every one is different tho!
Omg seriously like I would think it can’t reach up there since the doctor have to insert it instead of yourself
@chanty1014, well tmi but he’s big lol so it’s annoying because I really loved it
I had Mirena for a year & HATED it . It had horrible side effects , it actually fell out the day I was going to have it removed . I had a period for basically the entire year I was on it .
@chanty1014, I was just on the pill but I’m currently not taking anything because of dealing with some health issues so I don’t wanna add anything to issues already so once I go get checked out I’ll make sure it’s safe to be back on my pill & that’s what I’ll stick to . I was on it for three years before we decided to try for my third .
@girlmom., I love the nuvaring but it’s a pain at time because I use to get discharge a lot and my husband feel it and a pain to track it when to take it out
@chanty1014, see I LOVED the Nuva ring except the fact that it made my mood swings HORRIBLE so I had to stop using that 😔
