I have a question? Why do women considered themselves a wife, when they haven’t been married yet ? Like to me it’s kinda of offensive because being married is so hard and comes with a lot of responsibility. And why would you walk around claiming to be Someone’s wife when they haven’t even made it a priority to make you one. Just because you’re in a long term relationship doesn’t mean you’re married.
I feel like. If you want to be called wife. Get married. There’s nothing wrong with being in a long term committed relationship and never getting married. Some people never want to get married and that’s totally great! But you become a wife when you get married.
@loving_the_mommy_life, you don’t think 11 years is long enough? To not know if you guys want to be together forever ? Or are you just gonna play the role as a wife and a husband
💯 Doesn’t matter how long ppl have been together nor “common law”. Unless you’ve signed that marriage license you ARE NOT a wife.
Agreed!!! Some women will be with a man for literally like 2 seconds and call him hubby. I’m like please could you not lol y’all ain’t married. 🤦🏼♀️😂
I dont consider myself a wife nor have i labeled myself as wife. The furthest ive gone was fiance. We were once engaged but we called it off so we can work more on our relationship. We have been together for 13 years. We plan to get there one day. Everyone practically considers us married. My mother in law has wanted me to call her mom for years. I started calling her mom when my daughter was born. I treat his older family members with respect by also calling them what he calls them from the beginning. It’s disrespectful in our culture to call them by their names. His boss and coworkers also considers me as his wife 😅
I feel like most of the time when people do that it’s more of them being affectionate then taking the term literal, I’m pretty sure they know they aren’t real husband and wife already it’s just practice if that’s where they think they’re headed one day it shouldn’t be that serious enough to bother someone else that’s secure in their marriage
Meh I get it but there’s certain situations where I understand. My brother was with a wonderful woman who had MANY serious medical issues. If they would have gotten married she would have lost her medical insurance and it would’ve been incredibly expensive for my brother to try to get her added to his.
His situation was obviously an extreme though. Sometimes is just more logical financially to not be legally married. But just because you don’t want to get legally married but still wanna use the title is different
@mom.uncensored, it’s ridiculous... but that’s the only thing stopping them from getting married.
I think if they want that title then get married. Yes I understand being with someone for many years it feels like being married but it technically isn’t.
I have been with my husband almost 11 year's and we are not married we still call each other husband and wife....
Long term relationship is fine never been against it. But why aren’t you married ? Do you believe in marriage ? If you don’t mind me asking
@lexitorres9133, yes I believe in marriage...
@loving_the_mommy_life, then why would you be with a man that hasn’t legally made you his wife ? That’s okay to you ?
They want the title without the leg work. It’s ridiculous, or when they say MIL when it’s their boyfriends mom. No no you don’t have that title. That may be your kids grandma but that is sill your boyfriends mom to you.
Yeah I agree. I just don’t agree with certain women that claim wifey status and then have the audacity to say I don’t believe in marriage. Like then why the hell would you call yourself a wife. Idiot. Like I get so confused with women like that.
It's common law married if you been together more then a year....

Yup I was just girlfriend fr 7 years. Never claimed him anything more than that until we got married
@lexitorres9133, never said you did! I was just replying based on my own opinion.
Married Moms: do you still get tested for STDs every couple of months even though you’re married and don’t suspect that your husband is cheating or unfaithful and if so does your husband know about it? I was talking with my friends and they said they do it without telling their husband because it’s not necessary while others said that they don’t because they trust he isn’t being unfaithful. Idk I’m not married yet but this is something I’ve always wondered for people that are married
Has anyone else signed up with Pill Club? Because if you’re on the pill or Nuva ring, you really should ! 🌸🥰

How old were you when you lost your virginity?
