I'm finally able to come back to this (uou know, because sleep matters ?).
But, if I were to have the power to create a new life form I wouldn't think "Hmmm....I think I'll make a slug." No, I would create something very similar to myself. I would create what I know. So it makes sense that God would create humans in the image of himself. With arms, legs, eyes, ect. So with that reasoning then it seems to me that God may be some form of extraterrestrial. Especially when he sends down a man that looks ordinary but can do superhuman acts like parting a sea, creating food, healing the sick, and rising from the dead.
I'm not saying don't believe in God or the bible. But I think that there is FAR more to the origins of God/Jesus/Bible/Man than what the last few thousand years of church dictatorship wants people to know.
My comments should only make humans uneasy if they lack true devotion in their heart towards me. Honestly, I'm not such a bad ruler to live under. Everyone automatically becomes equal in that they are all lesser than me and my position is the only one that matters. I kindly offer to laser off all disgusting hair (ALL of it, even the ones on the top of your head) for free. 100% employment rate, with paid vacations and maternity leave.
You'll love it ... or else.
It's sometimes easier to invade a planet when the entire populous doesn't believe we exist. That way by the time they realize we do ... it is too late.
So I shall throw my vote in the camp that "aliens are not real" only in hopes that someone will believe my divine word and take it to heart.
There's nothing to see here out in space, move it along, pay no attention to the approaching armada ...
I believe..there's too much out there that has yet to be discovered. Plus my father and uncle always tell me the story of when they were in the service and several of the guys at their station saw this huge, round, disk that rushed through the air and abruptly stopped..it hovered above them for about 10 secs and *snap* it was gone.. They always mention the bright lights that were rapidly blinking..they were in the Air Force, so they knew aircraft and to this day they are convinced that what they saw were UFO's
@logins ☺
I dont believe the bible is a book if stories,I believe All Scripture is breathed out by God .The men who wrote the New Testament and many hundreds of other believers
?1 Corinthians 15:6 knew the truth of their message because they had seen and spent time with Jesus Christ after He had risen from the dead. Seeing the risen Christ had a tremendous impact on them. They went from hiding in fear to being willing to die for the message God had revealed to them. Their lives and deaths testify to the fact that the Bible truly is God’s Word.
From childhood you have been acquainted with the sacred writings, which are able to make you wise for salvation through faith in Christ Jesus. All Scripture is breathed out by God and profitable for teaching, for reproof, for correction, and for training in righteousness, that the man of God may be complete, equipped for every good work. ?2 Timothy 3:15–17
@Cwelt ☺
On the last day of creation, God said, “Let us make man in our image, in our likeness” ?Genesis 1:26
Thus, He finished His work with a “personal touch.” God formed man from the dust and gave him life by sharing His own breath ?Genesis 2:7
The bible says man is unique among all God’s creations, having both a material body and an immaterial soul/spirit.
Then God said, “Let us make man in our image, after our likeness. And let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the birds of the heavens and over the livestock and over all the earth and over every creeping thing that creeps on the earth.” Having the “image” or “likeness” of God means, that we were made to resemble God.
Miley, totally respect your opinion so I'm not trying to be rude or confrontational here.
But.....essentially God is an entity or being that has a much higher power of our own, supposedly resides everywhere, anywhere, and in "heaven " which is above us. Sounds a LOT like extraterrestrials to me.
Now, I was raised with a strong religious back ground and I have my own sort of faith so I'm not mocking yours at all. But who's to say that God isn't an alien life form? He isn't human, so what is he? What was he to people thousands of years ago who couldn't conceptualize anything other than a God?
As a Christian I do not believe in aliens , The earth and mankind are unique in God's creation. Genesis 1 teaches that God created the earth before He even created the sun, the moon, or the stars.
? Acts 17:24-26 says that “the God who made the world and everything in it is the Lord of heaven and earth and does not live in temples built by hands…he made every nation of men, that they should inhabit the whole earth; and he determined the times set for them and the exact places where they should live.
” Christ came to die for mankind? and that He died only once ?Hebrews 7:27 9:26-28 10:10.
The Bible gives us no reason to believe that there is life elsewhere in the universe. The Bible gives us several key reasons why there cannot be. Yes, there are many strange and unexplainable things that take place. There is no reason, though, to believe these phenomena to be aliens or UFOs. If there is a discernable cause to these supposed events, it is likely to be spiritual, and more specifically, demonic, in origin.
I'm really surprised how many people believe they DO exist. Not knocking anyone at all, I just thought there would be more "no's".
I guess I say I don't believe they exist because I don't believe they do exist... If that even makes sense. I'm the type of person that doesn't form an opinion on anything (science, politics, current events, etc.) until I've done research and made an educated conclusion. I've honestly just never even thought about researching "aliens" or other life forms so I haven't made a personal conclusion either way.
That's my reason... for the PP who asked.
I've gone to some extremely interesting events put on by churches where Dr. Donald Chittick was the speaker. It was extremely educational and informative on alternative theories on how earth and life was formed as well as extraterrestrial life.
It would be nice if more people didn't believe main stream media (although even that is starting to put out news on ETs) and looked beyond what they were taught conventionally.
Oh, and I LOVE Ancient Aliens. Some of it is spun, but some of it is undeniably questionable.
I believe we're not the only species out there. But I don't believe they're these little green creatures everyone puts them out to be lol. I had an experience once (not saying it was a UFO or anything, just something weird) and there was this bright, bright, bright white light far in the distance (at night) and I seen red and green lights flashing around it. I literally turned my head for a second to get my boyfriend so he could see it, and it was gone. I don't know what it was, I'm sure there's other things in could have been, but it.. Was... AWESOME! I thought maybe a helicopter, airplane, something, but it was literally there one second and gone the next.
I would never make fun of someone for what they believe. Our diversity is what makes our species so unique.
If they do exist, I hope it's like that movie Planet 51. They are more afraid of us and they are 5 decades behind us from a technological advancement perspective! LOL
I do and I fear them. Make fun of me all you want but we humans arent exactly a delightful species, the more well known people in our planet are mostly idiots. If they have the technology to find us they probably also have the technology to kill us. Someone pisses them off we might all die.
Do you think alien life exists?

??♀️ why?! Just why?
Potty Training *Updated*
Why is there such a push to do it so early?
Opinions on circumcising ?
Why or why not
Either we are alone in this universe or we are not, both possibilities are equally terrifying.
I do not believe we are alone.
