As a sufferer of coulrophobia I have always been afraid. Whatever triggered the fear I have blocked out and even seeing therapist when I was little for severe anxiety and panic attacks from it I would shut down and hyperventilate until I threw up or passed out. Honestly it's not just clowns masks make me very uneasy but the clown is the worst trigger. I tried to concur my fear many times by watching it (now I will not go near grated walks or sewers😂) or trying to approach a clown. Nothing works

Probably because the person is hidden under all the the makeup making him or her mysteriously hidden while with vibrant colors to look less alarming makes for panic to some. Add a touch of silly giggles and magic tricks to distract you...

I like clowns and clowns related to Horror🤡. What I do not like are Easter bunnies.
