So I posted on Nextdoor about needed to find a babysitter. Just to have in our back pocket ya know? Well this 17 year old girl responded and when we spoke she informed me that she doesn’t drive and she has mental health issues. She said and I quote “I have some mental health issues, such as depression and anxiety, but I’d never hurt kids. Even if they were being rough I would ever hurt them” I got such a weird ass vibe from her. Like who says that? I’m totally ok with mental health issues, don’t we all have them, aren’t we all sometimes depressed or anxious? But to say u would never hurt children rubbed me the wrong way. What do ladies think about that?

Right? Like who says they wouldn’t hurt kids when it’s the first time u ever talk to her? Weird right? I got a weird vibe from her too. Plus she’s 17 and on nextdoor like why isn’t her mom doing it for her ya know? I spoke with another mom of 2 teenage girls and she will be bringing them over to meet us Sunday

good call. By the way I have issues but I’d never put a hammer to your big toe. In case you were wondering.

oh good to know hahahaha!! Yea we are passing on her. She emailed me back saying she was going to talk to her mom and see when he mom could bring her over and I told her we didn’t need a sitter anymore. That my mil was coming. Which may be true, she may be watching them, but we want to have someone closer that’s not family ya know? Also I wouldn’t stick a pin in your face just so u know

Sounds funny to me too. I wouldn't trust her. It should be a given that you'd never hurt kids, no need to say it. Lol weird.

If You Know, You Know🤷🏻‍♀️

I think it’s pretty off. I mean if you asked about something like that, then okay fine. But for her to just come out and say it.. 🤔 🚩!

@scidg3, yea this lady was really nice and she has 2 girls so if ones busy then the other can come. We always have my mil watch the kids or family but we need a sitter for random shit ya know?

Yo mama

Hard pass for me.

Idk I would have met her in person before passing. Maybe she's on the spectrum and doesn't know how to filter what she says. At the very least it could have been a life lesson for her.

Yes and I totally would have met with her but in all honest I need someone who can drive here and home ya know?

Omg stop.. that is definitely weird. I’d say no right away just for the strange comment. I mean, come on, this is someone you’re going to leave your beloved children alone with! I would never be comfortable being out and about knowing my kids were home with someone (only 17 years old at that) who made sure to tell me she had mental health problems and that I shouldn’t worry because she’d “never hurt kids”. That’s just so off to me.

need suggestions.... So at work we have a drink thief. Any time we put a drink in the fridge it disappears. I swear I know who it is. So far he's taken drinks from everyone that works in the office, we even put a sign to not take anything you didn't pay for and wrote our names on the drinks. The person I think is taking them works out of the office so we never get to see who is drinking them.

Would you consider this cheating? What would you do

Would you consider this cheating? What would you do I need advice from a neutral stand point. Genuine advice of what you would do. Ds had his tonsils out last night. For some reason my gut about dh was not good. At night I logged into his Snapchat and saw he was talking to an old friend who he had a thing with. Last thing I was able to see was him saying it was hard to not log into those pictures and she then said she couldn't answer the phone because she was with her husband. I texted dh and asked what pictures was it so hard for him to not look at and I guess he called her and they talked. And she supposedly came clean to me and said they would just talk and vent about what stresses them. Dh said the same thing and I guess the pictures were of them from a long time ago of them and other friends hanging out. Dh started crying saying he never meant anything that everything looked like the perfect crime but that there was nothing there. I have since kept my distance and told him to give me space. At the moment I don't want to see him. I believe what they said but I'm so hurt and I don't want to be the stupid person to believe everything.
