Do you guys have your babies on a "feeding schedule" or do you feed on demand? (Breastfed babies)

@jellybeans_mumm My baby uses me as a pacifier and a food supply so she's on me ALL DAY and ALL NIGHT. it's really starting to take strain on me. She REFUSES to use a pacifier or take a bottle if I pump. Idk what to do. It's at the point where if I put her down and she wants to use me as a pacifier she just screams.

She’s probably cluster feeding it’s normal and it is exhausting I was feeding mine every 15 mins .. it’s mentally exhausting.. did u try other pacifiers??

I fed on demand & we definitely had periods of what you’re going through. My son never took a pacifier either. I understand how draining it can be, but it won’t last forever. She could be doing it because she’s going through a growth spurt. Is she having plenty of wet diapers?

@jellybeans_mumm yeah that sounds about accurate...15 minutes, 30 if I'm lucky 😭. And YES! I've tried the Nuk, the Soothies, some small, some big, and nothing at all. She literally spits it out. I wish I could post videos because I have recorded the many failed attempts lmao. I'm going nuts!

@ek620 yeah she's wetting super often. Her diaper is super soaked within like an hour and a half. She hasn't had a BM though since last Thursday, which I took her to her pediatrician for and they told me that's normal. She might be using 100% of the nutrients to where her body isn't creating bowels (due to growth spurt). She has another appointment on Thursday to follow up!

@ajowens1547, I know your feeling !! I was losing my mind and crying cause I was exhausted , try swaddling her tight , she smells your milk so it makes it worse 😭 I’m mentally preparing for this baby and BF, growth spurts are a pain so time consuming .. try the swaddling

@ajowens1547, Okay great! So she’s definitely getting enough to eat. My son once went nearly a week without a BM. It’s definitely normal. I’m sorry you’re so drained. I understand exactly what you’re going through & it will end soon. Good luck!

@jellybeans_mumm I cry like 3x a day so don't feel bad lol. I worry she's not getting enough but her diapers and weight tell me she is. The pediatrician said she's a really demanding baby! I try to swaddle her but I swear she acts like her life is over and breaks out of it!! When I need a break I have my husband hold her so I can at least cook dinner in peace or shower and she cries the whole time until I get her on my boob again.

To be so demanding and wanting to use us as a pacifier , then to she’s prob using you for comfort and other reasons .. it’s weird the vibe they get from us as mothers .. the bond is amazing but can be a lot .. I hope

Nursed my son on demand. I'll do the same with this one. I believe it's why I had few supply issues even with having to pump at my full time job

On demand. Im a sahm, my life revolves around their needs and wants. I have zero excuse not to give boob whenever its needed🤷🏼‍♀️😂
