What pacifier, binky, thati or whatever you want to call it is best for breast feeding babies? Or do they prefer you don't use one?
@rhonda.otero, my daughter used the Soothies. I didn't offer it until she was like 8 weeks old. My aunt's were against it lol
@tonyajo92, do you have a picture?
yeah like the pacifer would be too long or too fat. it all depends on the baby though!
My little girl hated the soothie pacifiers but she loves the ones I buy for her now. They're from the Dollar Store of all places and have Minnie Mouse on them.
Yeah I bough a whole bunch sometimes he'll take those two I mentioned sometimes he'll use the others and sometimes he just sucks his thumb lol
@2novbabies, ok maybe I just have to play the wait and see game
@their.bomb.ass.mom, wow choked? That's a first
@melissa11, ok mine both were really hard to break of it.. My son still had one when my daughter was born and they are two years apart
@steph11, if she can self soothe easily I am definitely going that route! I don't want to search for pacifiers when she is upset
@novahsmommy, I'm going to have to screen shot this so I can compare the different ones or get some of each and see which one she likes
My daughter liked the nuk ones. She has breastfed no problem and have the paci up on her own at like 6-7 months
mine only have taken the soothies and I breastfeed they also never took the bink very long
I've bought every kinda and Sadie won't take one she won't take a bottle either just depend on the baby she's a thumb sucker
@rhonda.otero, I don't know much about how breast feeding and pacys work, I mean Alaura used a pacy for the short time I got to breast feed her and it didn't seem to bother her any but all kids are different
my baby only took the hospital ones, like pictures above, she didn't like the others or they choked her. we bought a few extra just because, they're cheap at walmart. we aren't using any on this baby, but those are really good.
My son loves the soothies pacifier but I noticed he likes the first essentials soft center pacifiers better
@alauraandabdielsmom, oh ok I'm going to grab some of those!
@vinnysmomma, ok will do.. I just want to make sure she breast feeds for a year versus my other two I supplemented and they only breast fed for 3 weeks and a month
@alauraandabdielsmom, that's the one they give in the hospital right?
Look into NUK brand. I've also heard the green one the hospital gives you works well
The soothies are shaped like a nipple, that's what my daughter used
@chocohunnybees, oh ok thank you
very. because pacifiers are shaped like baby bottles , not nipples.
@chocohunnybees, is that common?
What would you do with $25,000
If you received an extra $25,000. What would you do with it? ?

She was throwing her first little sleepy baby fit, and as it turned out the Soothie was just what she needed to soothe herself a bit while I rocked her. As she got older she liked gumming on it. She stopped actually mouthing it when she was like 9 months old, then she just had to hold it. She hated other pacifiers tho.
