Thank goodness my pain is nowhere near to what you are describing ..... and congratulations on the new baby! Two weeks will fly! So exiting

My kidney stones were the worst pain I've ever felt (I know it's frightening lol). It was like a radiating stabbing pain that came from my back around to my abdomen. I'm a ftm and haven't delivered yet but I've it's worst than childbirth. I can let you know after my induction date in 2 weeks which was worse. I really hope it doesn't get to that point for you so def try everyone else's advice!

Thanks ladies! Culture came back negative but I'm still feeling pain. It's only strong when I hold it in at night , like when I finally get up to pee I can barely walk to get to toilet! Doctor said this was normal ?? I don't know! I'm going to do the probiotics and cranberry and hopefully that will work... I think the prenatals I take already have probiotics so that's a good thing! How was your pain with kidney stones? What about with the kidney infections? Where did you guys feel the pain?

Ive had so many 'negative' UTI tests and have reoccurring UTIs and had a couple kidney infections (after I was told I didn't have any infection ?)

I found an article the other day about how the tests they use aren't sensitive enough to read lower levels of the bacteria that causes UTIs or you have a different strand of bacteria causing it so it will give you a false negative.

If they don't believe you and won't give you antibiotics just take probiotics and drink cranberry juice. Probiotics helped me tremendously and can be taken safely while pg.

I had the same symptoms since the very beginning of my pregnancy. I kept complaining and to my dr that it had to be a uti but the culture came up negative every time. At about 18 weeks i ended up having kidney stones (which apparently isn't that uncommon during pregnancy- even more prevalent with twins). Since passing the stones the uti hasn't been an issue but it was really painful!! I hope it doesn't get to this point for you but the only way to know is for them to do an ultrasound of your kidney and see a urologist, CT scans aren't recommended.

They did a culture today but doctor said it's probably pain from the twins, uterus, bladder, AND colon competing for space! I still have the pain though :/

Did they test for blood in urine and do the longer cultures for UTI? My rapid culture came back negative on Monday which is apparently common in pregnancy. 15min later they came back and said it tested positive for blood so they sent it for a 48hr culture and it was positive there so I'm on antibiotics to clear this crap up
