Pain while urinating??
I just tested and don't have a UTI, but I've been having pain while urinating... if I hold it , hurts even more. Doesn't smell funny, no blood, and negative UTI test strip.... is this normal? Anyone else experience this?? Have doctor appointment on Friday but it's worrying me ....TIA
Went back to the doctor today because I was still in pain. he took a sample to check for uti but that's bullshit because I know I don't have a uti. I get those pretty often and I always know when I have one and this ain't that so Yea. he says I'm in pain because he rubbed the swab against my bladder but why would u do that. I don't think the strep test required anything with my bladder. Honestly since he said that I have come to the conclusion that he made a mistake and stuck the swab in my pee hole and that is why I screamed in pain and was in tears. you stuck it in the wrong damn hole and now wanna make excuses that maybe I have a uti and that since I'm further along that's why I feel pain. but all that is BS because pain from being further along I expect .I expect to have pelvic pain or back pain or hip pain but I don't have any of that this is not baby pain. this is extreme pain when I pee and u possibly swabbed wrong damn hole! I honestly would rather have a uti than the shit I'm feeling right now that's just how bad it is. a uti would b heaven compared to the pain I feel cuz I can deal with a little sting when I pee compared to excruciating pain when I pee! Ok rant over sorry guys it's so long!
Anyone have frequent urination as a first sign of pregnancy? I have an appointment today to get tested for a uti as I find myself needing to go every 20-40 min. No pain or anything just have to go a lot. So I’m just curious.
is it safe to have sex while having a bladder infection or a UTI.....???
Soo, I was suppose to have stated my period on the 13th of this month but I never did. I got the nexplanon implant on the 18th and they did a urine test but it was negative! I have literally been eating non stop and this is not like me! Should I be concerned and test again in a week or so!?

I would get cultured because I had auti that didn't show up on the strips but was positive for culture... don't wait until it reached the kidneys like mines did....

They did a culture today but doctor said it's probably pain from the twins, uterus, bladder, AND colon competing for space! I still have the pain though :/

My OB/GYN says I have bladder pain syndrome. I had it with my last pregnancy too. After I delivered, it went away. It's painful and always feels like I have a UTI. It's more bothersome when I'm sleeping. Interstitial cystitis (IC)bladder pain syndrome (BPS) is a chronic bladder health issue. It is a feeling of pain and pressure in the bladder area. Along with this pain are lower urinary tract symptoms which have lasted for more than 6 weeks, without having an infection or other clear causes.

Thanks for the info mrs! Thankfully it's getting better every day for me. I only have the pain now at night when I hold in my pee while sleeping and it's not as strong as before. Maybe that's what I have? I'm going to read more about it . Hope u are doing better now !

You're welcome Soleil15, the pain usually bothers me more when I'm asleep. I was reading that acidic foods and drinks make it worse. I drink plenty of water and mint tea. It's irritating, I could be holding a few drops of pee and it still hurts smh. I'm happy to hear it's not bothering you as much anymore :-)

I have had so many bladder infections in my pregnancys im pregnant with my 6th child. I remember with my first pregnancy I got tested at the hospital and they said no bladder infection. I had to go to another hospital in the city I was high risk and my dr did a culture and turned out I did have one.
Last pregnancy I was so sure I had a bladder infection had burning after peeing but no bladder infection according to my doctor.

Mrs1977 I have IC as well, but got it before my last pregnancy, and surprisingly it slowly went away while pregnant, had a few flare ups in the last 2.5 years and 2 utis, but no major flare ups thank god! It's awful!

I am 11 weeks ! I think it really was the stretching from the twins in combination with my tremendously swollen ovaries bc it keeps getting better every day . I did have a culture and it came back negative .. but I will definitely be vigilant of the issue seeing how many of you had issues :/ glad you are all feeling better now
