I've been having bad self esteem problems...for my wedding I lost about 10lbs and my lowest ever since I've been married which is 129...then I got pregnant and at first I couldn't keep anything down so I lost weight but once I was able to have zofran I gained a lot of weight....a week before Molly was born I was 180.2 which is my heaviest ever....and in the 9mths I've had Molly I've lost 14.2lbs by using the myfitnesspal app but I just don't like what I see in the mirror anymore...I hate shopping, can't find a modest bathing suit for the summer, and it doesn't help that most of my support system is making fun of me...one dress I wear (the blue and white one down below) people have asked my dad if I'm pregnant with my 2nd while I was out of state for a wedding...and I wore it again to church this past Sunday and a little kid patted my stomach asking "baby?" Granted she's probably under 5yrs old so I just smiled and said no but in my head I'm like "I'm never wearing this dress again!" I just feel like crying cause besides my hubby and my older sister (she has been more curvy than me between the 2 of us girls and helped me shop) who are trying to help I feel like I'm all alone...I feel like crying cause I'm trying so hard to at least go back to what I was before i was pregnant and even that's a challenge! I don't wanna do the latest trend in food. I like my gluten, dairy, sugar and my food to taste like food. Although I do admit that I tried cauliflower as rice for a stir fry dish and it was delicious! Its just discouraging that I can't lose this weight...

I didn’t really mention diet fads. But you sound like you know what you’re doing so good luck 👍🏼🍀
Okay so forget about all that diet crap. I think another important thing is to make sure that you tone in between workouts so that as you lose weight you won't have as much or any access skin. That's what I've been trying to do because I have the C-section Pooch and I know that if I don't tone while I lose weight it's still going to be there. It'll probably always be there but I'm hoping to get it as little as possible.
@ehenzon again I'm not one for fads. I'm not gonna do crossfit, I'm not gonna eat only kale or whatever the latest "superfood" is right now. I like normal food, and it may take a while but I'm trying..
Also if you can get into it interval training is optimal for weight loss.
Even if short on time you can do HIIT workouts. They do test your limits but the results are fantastic.
Your bikes will be a great idea! I don’t think you can get to a good weight with diet alone. But def work on cardio before lifting weights. I did that last time and lifted weights and though it does burn more calories I kept my big ass arms
@ehenzon probably once I had Molly I was in the 170s ish. I've been using myfitnesspal for almost a year ish
If you track your calories and workout you can lose the weight!!!! I started working out a month and half ago I lost 10 lbs with my fitness pal and doing about 2 mile walk with incline on treadmill about 3 times a week. But everyday I did a small little workout before bed it’s from an app called “30 day challenge”. Do your workouts for a week and when you see that scale move promise that’ll be your motivation.
I know I was tired of looking in the mirror and hating myself. I also would like to get back to 120s but my realistic goal will be 140. I started at 160
@mommiesaremagical14 I have a decent well rounded diet, its just exercise. We recent bought bikes and we get to pick them up today. For someone who hasn't even touched let alone ridden a bike in about 10yrs I was pretty good at it.
@mommiesaremagical14 I'm not one for fad diets, my hubby is in the Army so I know for a fact that his unit doesn't make decent food
@armywife72515 I have it too and I use it but some days well most days I forget. An accountability partner is just someone to help keep you motivated to swap meal ideas exercise plans things like that. I only suggested it because I think it's hard to do that kind of stuff alone when to have somebody with you doing it with you can help with motivation and to keep you on track
@mommiesaremagical14 that's why I use myfitnesspal for
@armywife72515 ill tell you what. If you want some help I can be your accountability partner. We can message each other everyday and talk about what we're eating what we're doing today what exercises were doing whatever. Be there to keep each other motivated if you'd like. Don't let Society pressure you into thinking you need to be a size non-existent because you don't. If you want to lose weight and become healthy do it for yourself and your child not for anyone else that is irrelevant in your life.
@mommiesaremagical14 thanks...my hubby does too but there's the social pressure from media to get thin, and there's a big baby boom at my church and the woman doesn't even look like she was pregnant after she has him/her...and yet here I am a mess and apparently still look like I'm pregnant...
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...
Short Luteal Phase?
I've just started temping because I believe that the reason I haven't had a BFP yet, after 20 months, is because I believe I may have a Luteal Phase Defect.
Transgender children
So I just learned that in my kids school district (my kids aren't in school yet my oldest will be starting kindergarten next September) there are twin boys who identify as girls. They are 5 years old. What's your opinions on this matter given they are 5!!! I don't believe that at that age they really understand the whole thing. So the entire school had to take a course on how to handle transgender children. For example they can't say girls go this or boys do that. What are...
Science!
My friend posted this on facebook last night and said her kids were asleep within minutes. It's a song that scientists created to help people fall asleep. I was skeptical but I thought what the hay, I'll try it out. I didn't bank on Dh falling asleep, but both him and lo were asleep by minute 2. And lo slept six straight hours. ?
Starting TWW. Anyone else?
I had a stillborn daughter at 38 weeks this passed Nov. This is my second month ttc. (Last month we only tried for like two weeks though). My last and only pregnancy, I got pregnant the first month of ttc so I hope it's quick this time again.
