How are your men while TTC?
My DH told me about 6 months ago that he had changed his mind and didn't want anymore kids. I was so heartbroken and devastated but I just went on with life trying to accept it. Even though I didn't bring it up again, I am pretty sure he could tell how his decision affected me and how sad I was about it.
We both wanted kids even before we got married, his younger cousins couldn't stop popping out babies left and right. It ended up being a 3 year struggle for us because I have pcos. We have one now, our dd is 6.5 months old, and I wanted to try right away but doctor recommended waiting longer. Hubby said he was ready whenever I am. He's been through hell and back with me and all my appointments and tests. He was my rock when I was hitting my breaking point, both with the constant bfn, and the sever postpartum depression I suffered after our dd was born. Couldn't ask for a better partner in life.
Thanks for all the stories ladies! It's sounds like we all have some great men on our hands, even if they are a little reserved or don't fully understand how we feel about certain things.
DH never really gets into my pregnancies either. He is excited, but doesn't really rub my belly or kiss it. Things like that.
It was my df idea he asked me half way during sex lol i said no at first but two months later i gave in. I have pcos n just got the all clear from having cancer in April so thought it would take us awhile to conceive. Had to be put on metformin n bam first month on it we got a positive after 6months etc. Now everynight he rubs my belly n helps alot more with my two kids (his step kids) n is on call for any craving lol. Keeps looking at my ultrasound pics n even took a photo of it with his phone lol. He is a typical male type that doesn't talk about feeling n stuff so it was hard at first.but i love it when he cuddles n kisses me alot more then he use to lol.
My SO has been really supportive throughout our ttc journey. When af came I didn't let him see me upset or disappointed. I was afraid he would feel like he was failing or doing something wrong. An when I had signs I didn't share them with him. Men don't see things the same way as we do. But when I miscarried he was supportive making me food, caring for the kids, and holding me while I cried. Sounds like your SO has come around to the idea, but doesn't want to make a big deal out of it for what ever reason. You can find the support you need in other ways like friends, or using ttc sites like this one. When you do get pregnant I'm sure hell be there for you! Good luck things have a way of working themselves out!! :)
Oah and I'm 6 seeks with #4...
Its doesnt really get talked about unless i bring it up...ill say things like oh my periods due in a week or have my app out around him hoping he'll see my fertile week. He occasionally will touch my belly and say things like maybe theres a baby in there, or i can't wait for you to get pregnamt etc etc. But when af comes, hes not crushed like me. I keep it to myself though, id rather me be upset and hurt then both of us. He just keeps saying itll happen eventually.
Oh.. Man! Interesting topic.. Umm.. my dh actually paid ME to get my iud removed (doesn't cost anything to remove) .. Lmao.. We have 3 kids together.. And he's been after me for about a year.. For #4..lol..im the one who was stalling cuz I had a c-section the last time around.... And am scared now.. But I am as excited as him.. Now that we are ttc.. Lol
It was interesting reading all of the different ways our men act to this whole process. My husband first said he wasn't sure he wanted any more children to we can try in the Spring to we can try now. He thinks I am weird for charting my cycles, taking OPK's and definitely weird for putting my bottom in the air and not moving an inch after we make love ;) I love him for being there for me but he just doesn't understand the blood sweat and tears that it takes to have a baby. When I see that he is getting weirded out by my TMI, I try or back off.
The moment I told him I wasn't taking BC he was the one that said he wanted another kid. Always brings it up.. Before we even talked about actively TTC (we both knew but didn't speak about it yet) we were eating lunch with his mom and our five year old. My son said something about having a younger sibling and momo (MIL) said she had a dream about blood work for pregnancy that said positive! My SO proudly announced to his mom well we are trying!! Hope it's this month!! Lol he is thrilled! I am currently 12 days late.. But still sadly BFN =/
Wow! So maybe this is more of just a guy thing. Our first wasn't planned, the second one was kind-of but after being in BC for 4 years, neither of us thought it would happen in just 2 months. So this is the first time I have really wanted it for a while, it's just hard.
My husband wants this just as much as I do but doesn't act like I do. I worry and want and always talk about days and how I feel etc and he just tells me to relax. I can't relax, I cry because this is all I've ever wanted my whole life and that is how we are different in how badly we want this.
I have mixed emotions from my DF. He was the one to "try" the first time we TTC. I was unaware he wasn't planning on pulling out lol but I was more than thrilled but AF showed up on my birthday:(
He doesn't talk about it but will give me yes or no answers when I ask him certain questions. He doesn't discuss it but every time I ask "do you still want a baby" he always replys "of course love". I think after months of trying he's just going with the flow having fun (I'm not usually crawling all over him 24/7). Living it up while he has it lol
Aw! I was a little discouraged because my hubs didnt seem too thrilled about me wanting another baby (we have 3 under 5). It seemed like he wanted it just because I did. Turns out he was just waiting for a raise (that he got last week :) ) so now he is like "did u test? What does that mean? When can u take a pregnancy test?" Lol and he likes to make late night runs for extra tests for me. He has been kissing my belly and telling our youngest to say baby and point to my belly lol
You too! FX to all of you ladies as well!! What number will this be for everyone?
My husband isn't into it as much as I am but when it is almost time for af to arrive, he gets excited hoping she doesn't come. He's pretty excited right now bc I'm 2 days late. And we don't use any sort of protection and he's not worried about me getting pregnant so I know he wants it too but guys just don't express their feelings like we do. Good luck, baby dust to EVERYONE! :)
@isherwh - we weren't trying before when he told me. I had asked him if we could try soon since DD was turning two in October and I didn't want another huge age gap (DS and DD are 5 years apart) and that's when he told me he was done and didn't want to try for #3.
I don't feel like I have any friends I can talk to about it, most of my good friends are people I work with so I wouldn't want anything to go around. I have told a few friends and family members that we aren't having anymore (before all of this happened).
I'm glad my DH isn't the only one like this! It's just really hard, the other day after we had sex I just bursted out crying. He asked me what was wrong but I just told him I didn't know. In all honesty, I really have no idea why I was crying because everything was perfectly fine, but later I figured it was just because I can feel so intimate with him while having sex but then so isolated the rest of the time. ?
My other half told me to come off contraception in sept and he has got 2 kids of his own both grown up this would be my first every time we bd the following day he rubs my belly and asks in weird voice if I have a baby in my belly which I reply I dont no so hes more excited than me n constantly saying he needs to put a baby in my belly lol hes been supportive when af has arrived and sed we can keep practicing
Sounds like the ttc was stressing your man out which is why he hasn't brought it up again. I'd say if he's not pulling out he's keen to try again but doesn't want the pressure. I don't think you should discuss it with him. It's tough to go through everything alone. Do you have a friend you can talk to? X
My SO doesn't have any kids (I have 2) so I kno he wants kids of his own!! We've talked about having kids and he said that he's prepared if it happens! He doesn't know that I'm actively TTC (charting, etc). I figured of just surprise him with a + test!! So he knows, but he doesn't really kno...lol!! He knows my Mirena came out & I'm not on any bc, but he hasn't been pulling out either so.... I'm just hoping for the best!!
My SO doesn't really talk about it either. He wants a baby but not as much as I do. He knows we're ttc but if I get my period and get a little bummed he doesn't really care he thinks it's way silly. Don't get me wrong he is very supportive but he doesn't understand the heartbreak so I usually just deal on my own and act like that everything is ok. If u need anyone to talk to message me:)
Yesterday I went out with my boyfriend went to watch a movie, me and him don't live together yet. but point is yesterday when he was dropping me off his like sleep over at my house witch the mom and dad lives. I said no,
his response was why is everyone deciding or making choices for you and their going to do the same with the baby, when I know that's not true. what he thinks is that my mom tells me not to sleep over. So he left all mad. and I felt in my heart that he went on and cheated on me...

My husband sent me a picture of this big ass Beetle he found at work. 😳 He showed me how big it is compared to a screw driver & a can of dip lol me personally I never saw any beetles like this in Louisiana. Don't worry he didn't kill it, he is letting it chill on his tool box. 😅 It didn't bite him either. I think it's cool but Idk about holding it, I can deal with beetles sometimes just NO Roaches!
My husband has me thinking twice about vaccinations I don’t know how to feel about it now..😩 he feels like we should not vaccinate .. our next baby and to stop vaccinating our daughter, and told me a story about his friends kid not being the same after a certain vaccination 😭 I seriously don’t know how I feel about this .. any mamas ever felt upset , confused ?
Lastnight I was talking to my father in laws girl friend about the situation with my husband. She told his dad about it and he texted rick😒. Well I asked him what he said to his dad and he said "nothing, I didn't want to make you look like a fool for telling me to leave"! Little does he know that his dad agreed with me that I was right to tell him to leave! He said that he appreciates me taking such good care if his son and grandbabies and I'm like a daughter to him and if I ever need him to wAt...
Am I wrong for telling my Bd that because we not Married my baby don't have to have his last name? He really got mad and told me I was project n ignorant. Crazy part is I was thinking about giving my baby his middle and last name
My husband is excited about TTC, but he thinks it just consists of us having sex. A couple times I've showed him my chart and explained, but you know men if they aren't interested they don't hear it.
