Anything under 101 is fine. If higher, just Motrin or tylonel will due.

They won't necessarily get a fever first of all, mine hasn't. Secondly, it doesn't really matter. I know it can be a bit distressing, but it's the bodies way of dealing with the illness, and making sure they won't get the 'proper' version. A fever does no harm in the long run, other than a bad nights sleep maybe.

Actually, Tylenol has been shown to reduce the effectiveness of vaccines. You shouldn't give it before or after.

My mom swore all three of us girls got sick and had fever after our shots. Neither of my kids did.

Its ok for them to get a fever. Even 101 isn't a big deal in the pediatric world

When I take my DD in the nurse giving the shot always asks if I want her to give her Tylenol before the shot; I always say yes just in case. But she's never had a fever hours after getting her shots ?. Good luck
