flu shot Who else has gotten the flu shot?

I got it twice this year already from being a nursing student! I’ve yet to get sick or anything only thing I hate is it knots up my arm everytime and hurts badly! Hate that, but other than that I think it’s a good thing to get done.

I got the flu shot. I always get it every year anyways. I got the flu bad one year and ever since I’ve been getting the shot. Unfortunately the shot this year isn’t too effective so good personal hygiene is a must!

I usually don’t get flu shots, but my ob-gyn recommended it and my husband really wanted me to get it. So I did. I felt awful the next day.

I did back in October from my OB.

Nope. With it being 10%-30% effective this year I’m not subjecting myself to that. I haven’t gotten the shot for 8 years and also haven’t gotten the flu since middle school (when I was getting the shot). It all comes down to the personal choice of what you want to do with your body and your baby!! ???

Nope. I'm not an "anti vax" but I also am cautious and do my research. The flu vac is one we don't do. I get sick everytime I get it anyway. Both of my parents got it and they both got sick. ??

It's required for my work. I'm a nurse in an intensive care unit and we have seen many influenza patients this year, the sickest one is in her early 20s with no previous health issues and has been on a ventilator for about a week already. A few years ago we had a pregnant patient who had the flu and ended up dying because of complications from it. The flu is no joke and being pregnant makes you more at risk. And, no, you cannot get the flu from the shot.

Somehow, I don’t get the flu when i don’t get the shot, the year I get the shot, I get a bad flu.?

I got it a fee weeks ago. I got it with my first as well.

I did , still got the flu ... but think my symptoms were less aggressive bc of that

I got it, I do every year. I got the flu for the first time ever earlier this month ? They are shutting down my sons school and other schools. It’s bad here in TX! All 5 of us in my family had it.

Got it at the beginning of November, have had one minor cold since and that was my first time getting it.

Got it at my last appointment. Never had issues with the flu shot before and the years I haven’t got it I got really sick. Haven’t had any issues this time around so far

Idk if it’s just us but EVERY single time we get the flu shot we get the flu it’s horrible! For the past 2 years dh and myself have refused it and haven’t gotten so much of a cold! I’m a substitute teacher so I’m around it ALL the time and still nothing!

Needless to say no flu shot for me this time either! ??‍♀️

Never got it and never got the flu.

Just took the simple measures of keeping hands clean etc

I got it in December. I don't know if it's related but I just came down with the flu last night. ?

Got it when I had my first visit with my midwife. Normally don't get it, but went ahead and got it.

I waited in line for the preservative-free version and then chickened out lol.

I did and still got pneumonia with acute bronchitis
