He said that gun deaths in a society whose citizens owned guns was an "unfortunate reality." He thought that some people must die by the gun so that others can continue to have guns. OK, so guess what? He died. I just wonder if he'd think it was worth it... oh wait, "he has 2 young children who will grow up without a father..." I guess that's just an unfortunate reality.

His racist remark that black women only had their seat in power because they “had to steal a white persons slot” Kirk also said that MLK was a bad person and a mistake and also said “We made a huge mistake when we passed the Civil Rights Act in the 1960s.” I stand with what I said people that mourn and are acting like we lost an American hero are weird AF!!!

ur weird AF if think anyone should die for there thoughts. I'm very committed to gun rights myself I've had find my whole life and none of mine have ever killed anyone. It's not the gun it's the fucked people that hold a gun maybe the world should worry more about mental health and entitlement

Yup, a man that said the civil rights act shouldn't have been passed. I won't celebrate his death, but I absolutely won't mourn him either. I will not be keeping him in any prayers. He will not be in my thoughts.

I honestly feel like since this happened, there's going to be a lot of violence. 😬 I truly feel bad for his children, eventually they'll see the videos of it happening.

this is the first time I ever heard of him tbh and the news it’s eh for me, yeah condolences to the family it’s a loss for them regardless of his crappy views. I’ve seen people on Facebook acting like their family member died and are ready to throw hands with others that aren’t mourning him 🤦🏻‍♀️

of course, his family mourning him is natural. I just don't think everyone should be expected to feel bad about what happened. I also don't think people should celebrate, but I can understand a wave of relief flooding people.

I've seen videos of someone on a roof running right after he was shot.

He could have been shot by anyone, for any reason. That man seemed AWFUL. He was one of the people that either contributed to the state of the US now, or he supported it... heavily, unabashedly. My gosh, I'm just trying to have empathy for a life lost, and I... man, it's taking a lot of effort. I'm not even political. I'm just a person who would be so greatly affected by the America he seemed to have envisioned. There would be no safe place for me in his America.

But, he was so, so young, and I think that is sad.

Pssh, news worth covering is buried. I'm completely grief stricken by what those children in Colorado had to face. No one died except the person with the gun, but can you imagine how scared all those innocent people were?

He stood up for what he thought was right and that's more then I can say about most of Americans.

I couldn't find a care in the world to give. I'm not sad. He's no loss. Also, I never said it's ok for him to be killed. I said I wouldn't mourn him.

And you know what? If you can't decide if he was right or wrong, you need a morality check. Tell me one redeeming thing he's said, or done. The fact is, if gun control wasn't so out of control, he would have gone home with his family.

Everything he stood for was damaging to me, personally.
