No they dont! Ive done it and bought a great stroller and a new carseat at 50% the whole price and still use both till this day

Edit: i traded my stuff in for a discount on the new stuff i bought. So i still had to pay half for both new products

I didn't know the clearence items were returns. That's nuts.

We'll shop around. Thanks ladies. This might be the only chance for awhile that we have a good chunk of money to be able to get her a seat that's really good. It's an investment and if she going to be in it for a few years i want it to be a really good one.

The point of the trade in event is to get unsafe baby products off the market. For every product you bring in you get a coupon.

We did this in January for DD. We had a booster to return off our registry so we did that at the same time. We got the coupon for trading in an accident damage car seat.

It CAN be worth it sometimes, but I suggest doing your research. I recently bought a new seat, and had planned to do the trade in thing, but shopped around and got a much better deal at Target.

Clearance wouldn't be part of the trade in. I would ask why it's on clearance.

Absolutely not bc that means it's a return. I returned a car seat once and the lady was mad bc I didn't have the tags that came on the seat (the recall thing you mail in) bc she wanted to restock the seat. I asked her how did she know i didnt g3t into an accident. She shut up really quick!

I usually research the seat I'm going to buy before going to the store so if you have one in mind look up the price on Amazon and a few other places to see if it really is cheaper. We were going to trade in one old seat at bru but it was cheaper at target so we went there and will save the old seat for my parents if they need it. Also if you plan on having more kids in the next few years you could use the infant seat again.

Would you consider buying a car seat that they put on clearance? With no box.

I just did it for two car seats. Worth it to me, sometimes you can find the same car seat on sale for cheaper at other places though

I've done it a couple times and it's super easy. And totally worth it. You don't need to bring in the stroller too.
