Goldenseal how long were you using NFP before getting pregnant w your twins? Congratulations by the way!!!

Oh and my cycles were all over the place. Anywhere from 40 days to 28.

deleted-user

I was doing that but then I ha a really weird cycle where I had two dry days during my fertile days so I though maybe I was done. Yeah I ovulated after the dry days and well now I'm expecting twins. Before that happened my fertile days were extremely easy to tell apart and I always knew when I ovulated. Once I made an effort to look for the fertile days t was extremely easy.

We did it successfully for a year. Then one month we didn't keep track and now I'm pregnant.

I did it but itnfai,ed bc I was top fat to ovulate normally. Worked for almost a year though

We used if successfully for 7 months then decided to start ttc. We plan to use it again after having a baby.

Thank you so much for your input bluemagenta14! :)

Bluemagenta14 my periods are not regularly 33 days just an average of 33 days if that makes sense. So my periods are always between 28 to 33 days for each period. It just frustrating cuz I want to use NFP for my sake and my husbands, but w an irregular period Im just not confident. We are in no hurry to getting pregnant since we already have two beautiful daughters:) I will definitely invest in an ovulation thermometer since that will at least give me something accurate. Wish me luck and hopefully we find an answer to our natural contraceptive options.

My df and I used this method successfully until we just stopped caring if it happened or not and didn't pull out. Two months later we got pregnant. After dd is born I'm contemplating it though. I'm soooo nervous about getting pregnant again directly after dd!

I want to start as soon as AF returns. I don't want her to return, but I want to be able to have some stress-free sex haha. Condoms irritate my lady parts and I don't do hormonal birth control.

It's so interesting to read how different methods work for everybody. I'm just struggling to find ours.

I use this with a diaphragm during my fertile window. It worked for 16 months before we conceived our son, which we planned and got pregnant the first month with no "goalie."

Bluemagenta any advice w an irregular cycle. My pink pad tells me I'm every 33 days instead of 28. That's why I'm a bit hesitant that NFP will work for us. I have always heard you have to have a regular cycle to use NFP. Is that true?

deleted-user

So I want to use the pink pad for my NFP. Is it pretty effective? I have been tracking my period w pink pad for about 1 1/2 now. Do you think it's safe enough to use w NFP?

No bc for me my body can't handle the change of hormones! I hate when then on asks what form of bc I want to use! Been using this method for years been pregnant three times an only when actively trying. It's good to know your body and the only way to do so is not be putting extra stuff in to regulate it.

What??? That's crazy, PP!!

I'm also allergic to condoms. I believe for myself it must be the lube because I'm not allergic to latex. I'm also allergic to semen when my husbands PH balance is unbalanced. So his diet is essential to our sex life!

Same here, we use the pull out method along with it. I also know when I'm ovulating because I can just tell with the things my body does. It's pretty interesting!

My parents... I'm number 6 of 9. But they said they wanted alot of kids. And there's 5yrs difference between like 5 of us. So 5yrs with no kids between must say something

No condoms work, we've tried a plethora of options! A part of me thinks its the lube they use on the condoms vs what the condom is made of. It makes me feel like I am on fire down there and I ALWAYS get UTI's afterwards.

Oh yay! So glad to have other mommies on board with this!

I would like to add that I don't care if I get pregnant, we have two children and I would be thrilled to add to our family so the lack of stress there really helps this be a viable option for our family. We just don't want to get pregnant right now (but if it happened, it wouldn't matter).

What about sheep skin condoms?

deleted-user

I did it. Have you looked into paraguard? It's bc without hormones.

deleted-user

I was trying it! Got pregnant the first month I attempted and am now about 7 weeks... Figured out at my last appointment I ovulated pretty late.

Go buy the book called "Taking Charge of your Fertility" by Toni Weschler. It will tell you EVERYTHING you need to know.

We use this we have an 8 year gap between two of our kids so it does work for some. But it also works until you have that one fabulous night out and have amazing drunk sex : )

I'd like to use this method but my husband is so fertile it scares me... and I just want one child for now and probably ever. So maybe this method isn't the best for me, I'm going with the IUD.

I'm in the same boat!! This will be month #2 of nfp. I finally realized it was the hormones in birth control that were seriously messing with my head.

Month 1, I got bad ovarian cysts though :( here's hoping this month is better!

My ob is okay with me telling him we use condoms and that we're going to ttc soon. He also knows my full medical history, though, so he doesn't nag me because he knows bc is bad for me.

deleted-user

Haven't tried it yet but prior to my son I tracked my pd and it was always to the day. I knew I was pregnant when I was a day late (I was TTC). I'm sick of bc so once I get regulated id like to try it.

I don't have any but we plan on using this method when I have our new baby so I'd like to hear as well

deleted-user

I was doing it until we got pregnant lol

It failed because I developed cysts that made me ovulate more than once that month.

We miscarried, and might be pregnant this month, we'll see in about a week.
