I'm pretty much gonna keep working until the day I go into labor. :| It sucks, but I have no choice unless I get put on bed rest or something by OB. And as much as I'd love to spend the whole 6 weeks off, I'm going to try and go back ASAP. Hopefully like a week after she's born if I can help it. We need the money that bad. :(

I'm going on mat leave April 26. I absolutely love being in Canada and having a year with pay with my kiddos. After my leave is up I will only be going to work 1-2 days a week just for some extra cash

I work for the NHS, so I have a good maternity scheme. My consultant will only let me work until 36 weeks because my job is heavy and busy. But using my holidays as well I have a total of 8 month off, ill be returning to work on Jan 20th 14 :)

I work as a paramedic so I am going on leave in a few weeks. I can't wait! I have short term disability so I don't have to go without pay for too long even though it isn't full salary.

I was on maternity leave with my lg until last week (had 9 months off), I am now using my holiday entitlement of 6 weeks before starting my maternity leave again.. It will start when I'm 31 weeks I think and ill have 9 months.... :)

I'm planning on waiting till doctor tells me to stop working (then go on short term disability) and start maternity leave when our lil one is born. If I can work all the way till I deliver that's fine too.

We get 4 months maternity leave, but supposed to take off a month before. I am getting my dr to write a letter so I can work until the end and then I get to stay at home for longer afterwards! I really wish I could be a stay at home mommy!!!!

I work at a school and summer vacation starts May 16th so I will be done working at 36 wks and will be a SAHM when baby comes!

I already quit one job, and my other job is as a tax preparer so I'll be on my official maternity leave April 16. Can't wait!!

Just waiting for the doc to give me the word lol. I'll be home for 12 weeks after his born, wish it could be longer but at least we'll all be home in the summer ?

I am very fortunate to have a job that pays 12 weeks maternity leave an upto 8 weeks before hand if I have to be out on rest!! So we will see at the next drs appt if I need bed rest!!

Up until I deliver. I'm taking 12 weeks so I want all the time bonding with my little guy ???

Not until I pop! ? I only plan on taking 6 weeks off and like some of the other mommies said, I want to spend all of that time with my little man! ?

I have a week of vacation to use up. Think I will use it 1 week prior to my due date.

With my daughter I worked up until the day before she was born... She came the day before my induction date... Her birthday was my day to relax, Shave and get prepared... Well needless to stay, that didnt get to happen... 2 am I was admitted and had her at 10:20am...
