@l0vecandiee, Yes I would call! That’s exactly what my son did when he was constipated and I felt so bad I couldn’t help. I’m a new mom though so I didn’t know about the whole consulting his doctor thing and I just switched it to similac pro sensitive on my own and he was back to normal within a few days

But he’s been farting and stuff and I think pushing and grunting a lot , that’s why I’m worried but then the grunting and getting like fussy he’ll start eating his hand and be hungry so I’m confused ☹️😩

@thequeen, if I notice this after two days of no pooping though right? Call my doctor? He last pooped a good poop Friday may 25 th around 5:30

If you notice that he’s getting fussy and then feels better after a burp or bowel movement/toot then I suggest you talk to your doctor about changing his formula. My son had terrible constipation when he first started on regular similac iron. He would try sooo hard to go the bathroom but nothing would come out. We switched him to similac pro sensitive and he’s all normal!

Every other day is perfectly normal! Even two days without pooping is normal!

My daughter's doctor told me up to 10 days without pooping is okay but to call him if it hit 11, which I though was extreme but my daughter never hit 11 days and has always been fine.

@amberjacq, really! I’m sorry about that that really sucks because both my babies didn’t latch I tried about 3 days with my son and about a week with my daughter to latch , and they wouldn’t :( I was sad and wanted to keep trying

@l0vecandiee, ooh lol i say as long as baby doesn’t seem unhappy or constipated and doc isn’t worried then don’t worry yourself silly over it ... you’ll know something is wrong with your baby if there really was a problem 😊

@mom_two_times, I’ve also read what u said but the exact opposite, that breastfeed babies poop more! But like I said I’m not sure

My son poops either once or twice a day or every other day that’s just how formula does but breastmilk is a lot different with breastmilk babies usually poop multiple times a day everyday, my son was on breast milk until he was 5 weeks I wanted him to be on breast milk for a year or at least 6 months but he wouldn’t latch so I had to pump and my milk dried up so I had no choice but to put him on Similac

@l0vecandiee, formula fed babies usually poop way more that a breastfed baby ... breastfed babies can go a week or so without pooping but usually formula babies go 2-3 times a day some babies poop more it could also be the type of formula... does the doctor seem concerned?

My baby is about one week old and he only poops like twice a day and he’s on formula and breast milk, I’ve been wondering if he’s not pooping enough too but he seems totally okay and has no other symptoms and seems pretty happy so I’m not sure either 🙁
