Sorry for the second post. Earlier I asked about fever in ds who turns one tomorrow. His fever peaked to 104.1 I called the nurse line asked what to do they said bring him in ds was diagnosed with double ear infection. They said if the back of ear got red to take him back in. Didn't say why though. Well it's 11 pm and its red but j can't tell if it's from him tugging on it or what. Why would they say to take him back in with redness.??

Did they not prescribe an antibiotic?
My 8 month old DD has an ear infection in one ear and a low fever and is miserable. She was prescribed an antibiotic. 104 temp and tugging on ears means your poor little one has to be in pain... so sorry

They may suspect measles or mumps

Dd just got diagnosed with a double ear infection yesterday. She has been in so miserable, poor girl ? our Dr never said anything about the redness behind her ear but he did prescribe her an antibiotic to clear up the infection.

They did give him antibiotics. The redness seems to have gone away it's a little pink though. I will contact the nurse line. Thank you
