??????October 2018 babies?????? Congratulations to everyone who have received their bfp!
You know you have children when... You get to work and notice that your pants have smudges of unidentifiable origin from the knee down. ?
School fees Having an intense debate on Facebook about school fees for public school. I'm in the "stop whining about school fees and stop having kids if you can't afford them" camp and there is the other camp of "free school is a constitutional right! It's bull s*** we have to pay anything at all".
We all have a different definition of “clean”🤢

This happened to me yesterday, actually. My daughter was fine, then all of a sudden her fever spiked, out of nowhere and they think she may have had a seizure. It rushed her to er because she was breathing fast, feet and legs turning blue, and literally was zoned out and wouldn’t respond for what seemed like 10 mins. (It probably wasn’t though) after the Tylenol kicked her fever and it went down she was fine. But I stayed at the er waiting to be seen. She ended up also having an ear infection and was prescribed amoxicillin and ibuprofen.

If he's had multiple then I would go to ER to be safe

@nerdymommyplus2 she said he has multiple seizures and a constant high fever so I dont think it's a febrile seizure.

As scary as febrile seizures are they don't need hospital attention unless you can't break fever or seizure is longer than 5 minutes

Actually despite what people think the fever doesn't even have to be high, it just has to rise or drop quickly. My oldest fever was 101 when she had her febrile seizure. They dont harm the brain or anything and typically last less than 5 minutes. If more than 5 minutes you should call emergency responders. If you have family history of them then I'd keep a look out

@babymay2016 I'm worried that she did not take him to the hospital at all and just let him have the seizure at home.

Weird. He should most defintely see another doctor then asap. Ear infection will not clear on it's own without some type of antibiotic..

@babymay2016 yes I'm sure. She makes the same as my husband and they work the same job on top of her getting child support from my brother who also pays for my nephews insurance through the military. My brother gives her extra money each month as well to make sure everything is taken care of. So I know she has the money.

Are you certain she didn't just not call the prescription in? Or didn't have enough to pay for it?? Seems like he probably should have a prescription

@babymay2016 yeah. Well thanks. I'm going to watch him very closely today.

Yeah that is very worrisome... And even then, Tylenol is better for pain and fever both? Not motrin. I only even use motrin after tylenol is not working. Switching every four hours. But I always start with tylenol.

@babymay2016 yeah I thought he should have gotten some type of meds for the ear infection. My daughter had medication a few months ago when she got a ear infection so I was really worried when she said that he had no other meds other than Motrin.

Yeah if he has an ear infection they should have prescribed an antibiotic..... Tylenol/motrin just for pain and fever, but that isn't going to make the ear infection go away. Hopefully just one antibiotic would do it... But we went through three, and shots over the course of a month and a half and the infection did not go away.

I don't think just an ear infection can cause a seizure? But maybe it was the high fever that caused it. If it gets above 105 then that can totally happen. They probably wouldn't prescribe anything and suggest just tylenol and motrin, switching every two hours. My son only was given ear drops after he got tubes put in his ears. They didn't prescribe an antibiotic though for ear infection? My son tried three different antibiotics for a straight month (which is way too much) but ear infection was not going away. Then steroid shots before tubes placed.

@babymay2016 my nephew's mother claimed that he was running a high fever and had an ear infection that caused him to start having massive seizures and he was rushed to the hospital and was in the hospital for two days and then they released him and she claims they did not give her any medication for him but told him to take Motrin. I do not trust her because this is not the first time that something bad has happened to him and she not do what she supposed to do so I am concerned however my brother is in the military and he is not anywhere close by and I do not have legal authority to talk to my nephew's doctor and I'm really worried about this. Thankfully I am babysitting my nephew and he is not running a fever now and I'm going to watch him heavily to make sure he's okay but I am still worried.

If you are talking about your 1yr old then you can switch between tylenol and motrin every four hours. But if fever is not breaking or is over 103 you should take her in immediately.
babymay2016·
Мама сына (2 года), беременна (39 нед.)
Anything like over 103 you should take them to the hospital ASAP. 105 is what is dangerous and if it gets over 105 they could have permanent brain damage and a seizure. I'm not sure how long it takes.. I just know 103 you should go to the hospital.

@babymay2016 do they have to have the fever for a long time before they start seizing?
